As Operations Manager for Rigby Construction I was responsible to set up and maintain office procedures for a
company with 45 employees including all Human Resources including Workers Compensation. Coordinate
Accounts Payable and Receivable. Interact with Subcontractors and Suppliers on bids, pricing and payment.
Hone my skills in management, scheduling, event planning and payroll. In this position I learned effective time
management, prioritization and organizational skills.
As an Administrative Assistant to the President of Kier Construction Corporation, it was my responsibility to organize and
schedule for the president to ensure effective management of his time. Other responsibilities included arranging
travel, marketing, job file maintenance and management. Telephone screening, appointment management,
meeting minutes, correspondence, scheduling of events and ensuring smooth office operations. In this position I
learned to direct, delegate and control the flow of information in a fast paced environment.
As a Secretary/Receptionist for State Farm Insurance Company I was responsible for confirmation of policy numbers and setting-
up and maintaining new claim files. Other duties included typing, copying, answering phones, maintaining and
updating microfiche files and scheduling appointments for claims adjusters and appraisers. In this position I
learned to prioritize work and to effectively manage time.
