How to Proceed?

One has to make an appeal to the supreme lord, Sri Narasimhar in order to get
your desires fulfilled or to get rid of your problems. For that, one should perform
a simple and preliminary special Pooja (prayer) in your house as detailed below
on any one of the following days.
Thursday.
Saturday.
On the day of Thiruvonam (or Sravana) star.
See panchaangam to know the details of days and star of the day and the
duration over which the star is present.

Basic Setup
Using the printout of Sri Panchamuga Lakshmi Narasimhar on a glossy paper and
make a framed photo (see Empty Frame Model).
Keep the framed photo in the Puja (prayer) room of your house.
Of course, your house should be clean and Puja room should be ultra clean.
Further, please have the following list of items ready with you (see photos for
easy understanding).

Turmeric power and water.


Arugampul (Bermuda Grass)
Copper / silver / brass plate.
Two lamps with ghee filled.
Agarbathi (incense sticks) with stand.
Thaamarai (Lotus) flowers.
Roja (rose) flowers.
Thulasi leaves / bunches.
Roja maalai (if you can get it).
Panchaangam or at least daily calender with details.
Make Turmeric Ganesha / Vishvaksena

Take turmeric powder, add a little bit of water, and then press to a shape such
that it appears as Ganapathi. This is called the Manjal Pillayaar, and keep it in a
copper / silver / brass plate.
Place kumkum dots, submit an yellow flower and the Arugampul to Manjal
Pillayaar.

Keep this plate containing Ganapathi near to the Sri Narasimhar photo (all in
your pooja room only).
Make ready the Narasimhar Photo
Apply turmeric and kumkum spots on the newly made Narasimhar Photo.
Lit the ghee lamps with the help of a match box.
Burn the incense sticks (Agarbathi) and keep it in its stand.
Submit the Lotus, Roja flowers and the Thulasi leaves to the supreme lord Sri
Panchamuga Lakshmi Narasimhar.
If available, submit the Roja Maalai also (see right side photo).

Prepare the Prasaadam or Naivedyam

You should freshly prepare one or two prasaadam varieties and keep them
in silver / copper / brass vessels .
One prasaadam shall be coconut based food because coconut is the
favorite to Narasimhar.
Prepare Paanagam.
Do not use any food item from the refrigerator because, the prasaadam
should always be freshly prepared.
Never use any ready-made food items that are purchased from shops for
the purpose of prasaadam.

Start the Pooja

Start the pooja with Ganapathi by reciting the Slokam given in the Block-A.
Perform the Archana to Ganapathi with twelve names as given in Block-B,
and offer flowers as and when you recite one name.
Start the Sankalpam with Sri Narasimhar by spelling out your name,
Gothiram, Star and Raasi and the purpose of this special pooja (note that
the purpose of doing this special pooja is to appeal Sri Narasimhar for
remedy to work).
Now perform Archanai with 108 names of Narasimhar. If you are a new to
this, it may appear a bit difficult. But, you can slowly finish within 10
minutes time.
Recite Sri Narasimhar Moola Manthra as given in Block-C for eleven times.
Recite the Shloka as given in Block-D for eleven times.
Pray with plain words stating the reason why you are doing the pooja.

Now, make an appeal to Sri Panchamuga Lakshmi Narasimhar to accept


you pooja.

So, you have just successfully completed the preliminary pooja.
