Introduction
CDM-625 Modem FW/12864AC Version 1.5.3 is a maintainance release. It includes a new feature and
some defect fixes.

IMPORTANT

When Upgrading FW from version 1.1.7 or older, you MUST ftp new FW three times
in order to program it correctly into both images. After each FTP, you MUST switch
image and reboot modem from the other image.

Features
Added AGC out factory menu to allow user to select either the output of RSL value or the output
of Eb/No to the rear-panel monitor port.
Summary - when demod in unlocked, output = 0 volts. When demod is locked and at at threshold,
output = 1 volts. Above threshold, Eb/No value is written. Range = 15 dB, corresponding to 1 to
9.65 volts. Eb/No threshold is defined as the Ebt value that corresponds to an error rate from the
FEC decoder of 10-3, minus 0.5 to 1.0 dB.

Defect Fixes
With PaP enabled and in 1:N, disable Ethernet Port 1's pause flow control and limit its egress rate
to 4 Mbps.
Fixed bug that modem runs bit errors with QDI framed at 64kbits.
Reduced composite rate limit to 25 Mbps.
Fixed bug that while in Audio with EDMAC, can't switch to Audio with IBS.
Fixed bug that DistantEndCDM625 Stored Statistics table didn't work properly when the table is
empty.
Preserve the slot settings when changing from QDI to FQDI or vise versa by using MGC.
Fixed bug that FramedQDI mode doesn't not hold AUPC config after power cycle.
Fixed bug that DMP command response was not correct when Local-only is selected.
