Hi again Ravi,
In Choose Partion / Please select a partition to install Android-x86
Sda1.
Sda2.
etc
Comparing to my drive management page, Im kind of lost :(, because I do not know w
hich one corresponds to the one I want Android-x86 to be installed on.
If possible i would like to install the android OS into the 20Gb partition namme
d Android (see below)
This is the Drive management onto my laptop :
System 100 Mb
Win7_OS 120 Gb (C) [Boot / Primary Partion]
Docs 460 Gb (D) [Primary Partition]
Android 20 Gb (Z) [Logical Drive]
thanks for helping

If in windows the 20GB partition is displayed at last partition (for eg. c, d, e
drives here e drive is last one). Then that partition will be the last partitio
n (eg. sda1, sda2, sda3, sda4 sda4 is the e drive last partition). install it th
ere.

Thats because your USB Drive is formatted in NTFS format. You must format your US
B Disk to Fat32 and then use unetbootin to create Android x86 bootable USB drive
or simply use Rufus App for Windows to Create Bootable USB Drive.

Righy now, you cant use internal hard disk volume from Android.its limited to 2GB
but you can install it on a external Hard Disk or USB drive by formatting it to
ext3 and you will get more space. Upto 32GB.
Reply
Kiryaa APRIL 20, 2015
So, youre saying all we need to do to get 32gb storage is to format external HDD
to ext3 and then install androidx86 on it using the same method, described here?
Because 2gb is far too little.
Ive tried using androidx86 installer, but it cannot install 5.0.2 properly (stuck
on Android logo). But in older versions doesnt Internet connectivity.
So using this GRUB method works for me, but only 2gb

The problem with Android 5.0.2 and 5.0 is that there are still so many bugs like
you cant run a game coz it will crash frequently. Wi-fi is another bug. But you
can install Android 4.4.4 Kitkat on your system and it runs games also and conne
cts to wi fi on almost every system.

wondering if someone could explain a step-through for getting rid of the 972 err
or via a program or utility or workaround I can do on the windows 7 side?
Ive already set a data.img (to 2040Mb) when installing android on the D partition

Seems like your grub bootloader was not installed successfully. I will recommend
you to install Androidx86 4.4 R3 Kitlat update which was released recently and
is most stable update till date. Im running this version on my laptop with Window

Alternatively, you can try Ethernet connection (DHCP Only) to connect with inter

Android 5.0+ are still under initial development phase and needs more time to ru
n stable.

You dont need to uninstall it. Just create a bootable USB drive and install it ag
ain with Grub bootloader.
In future if you want your normal windows boot up back then follow uninstallatio
n guides posted on Techposts.
Good luck!

Hey a little help would be very appreciated. Having a hard time finding an iso w
here wifi works. Lenovo Yoga 700 with Intel(R) dual band wireless-ac 3165 adapte
r. Ive installed 5.0.2, 5.1-rc1, and 6.0 with no wifi and Ive tried the live cd
of 4.4-rc1, 4.4-r4, 4.4-r5, 4.4-r2, and 4.0-rc2-s103t with no wifi. Im assuming
there wouldnt be a difference for wifi connection in testing a live cd vs install
ing the iso, right? Do you know of one that would work with my wifi? Thank you f
