Summary
This summary is about the market survey regarding the price
comparison between different Paint companies. I covered area of
80-90 km within 10-12 days to gather all these statistics. I not
only gather all the prices of paint products of different companies
from the dealers in this radius and compare the actual price and
selling price but also the hidden facts behind the fluctuations in
the selling price. The main problem in collecting the statistics is
that the dealers were not willing to tell me the actual prices of
products as they also dont know the prices due to fluctuations in
the rates from company side. Some dealers were agreed to sell
products in 12-18 % discount while some were giving 15% or
12% discount. Surveying the market also helps me to find a bitter
truth that the dealers were usually avoiding the BERGER
products. This trend was common in lower level dealers. The main
reason behind this paradox which I found from talking to
experienced people of this field is that BERGER gives more
discount to the dealers who bought the products in bulk quantity
as compare to those who dont. As purchasing in low prices
enables those dealers to sell the products in less prices as
compare to those dealers who dont buy in bulk quantities. In a
nut shell, this cause is the main trigger for the dealers to avoid
the BERGER products selling.
