ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT FROM THE OFFICE OF COUNCILOR BERNARD E. ALAG
Councilor Bernard E. Al-ag has been serving as your Councilor for the past two terms. Those six years have been very fruitful and fulfilling. He is very grateful that you have given him the opportunity to serve his people. The trust and confidence you have bestowed have always been the motivation he needs in his daily activities as a public servant. He cannot thank you enough. With that, presented to you are the milestones of his journey as a City Councilor. During his second term, he was the Speaker Pro Tempore of the City Council. On September 2014, he was elected by the Councilors as a Majority Floor Leader. Making him the youngest City Councilor elected as the Majority Floor Leader at the age of 39. Ordinance for the implementation
of the projects generated from the share of Special Local Road Fund (SLRF) under R.A. 8794 or MVUC Law Ordinance declaring the Pantatan Festival as one of the official festivals of Davao City to be celebrated every last week of October of every year.
Councilor Bernard Al-ag also exerts
efforts to improve the lives of the people through his Serbisyong Al-ag Program. There are over 50,000 beneficiaries of his Free Reading Glasses and Eye Check-up. Five hundred patients have been given the opportunity to restore their eyesight by undergoing Cataract Surgery for free. Since he is mainly concerned with the health and welfare of his people, numerous Medical and Dental Missions and Feeding Programs have been successfully held. Lastly, he has given over 100 Scholarship Opportunities to those deserving students who are eager to learn but are in need of support in their studies.
