QUICK START GUIDE


Welcome
Roam Mobility makes traveling a little
easier by providing travelers with the most
relaxed, cost-effective way to connect
while away from home.

Using the Roam Mobility


Service with Your Phone
Our service can only be used with
unlocked phones. If you purchased a
phone from us, it is already unlocked.
An unlocked phone is a phone that is not
tied to any particular mobile network.
When a SIM card is installed into an
unlocked phone, it will automatically
connect to a local mobile network. When
it does, you will see the name of the
mobile network you are connected to on
your display screen.
Getting Started
A SIM card is a memory chip that is
installed into a phone, allowing it to
connect to a mobile network provider. The
Roam Mobility SIM card connects you to
over 500 GSM networks worldwide.
To use our service, you will need perform
the following:
1. Install the Roam Mobility SIM Card
into your phone
2. Activate your Roam Mobility service

INSTALLING THE ROAM MOBILITY SIM


CARD
To install the Roam Mobility SIM Card into
your phone, follow the instructions below:
1. Charge your phone completely and
turn it off.
2. Carefully break out the SIM card from
the plastic card.
3. Remove the back cover of your phone
(see included instruction manual for
details).
4. Insert the SIM card into the SIM
cardholder, with the serial numbers
facing up, according to the illustration
that you will find close to the SIM
cardholder.
5. Replace the battery and back cover of
your phone.
6. Turn your phone on. It will
automatically connect to a local
mobile network within a few minutes.

ACTIVATING YOUR ROAM MOBILITY


SERVICE
To activate your Roam Mobility service,
go to www.roammobility.com/activate and
follow the onscreen instructions.
Getting to Know Roam
Mobility
Your Roam Mobility SIM card has two
phone numbers:
1. Global Roam Mobility number (+44
UK number)
2. USA Roam Mobility number (+1 USA
number) - requires activation
NOTE: (+) is used to represent an
international number; 44 is the
country code for UK; 1 is the
country code for USA.

YOUR GLOBAL ROAM MOBILITY


NUMBER (+44 UK number)
Your Global Roam Mobility number is your
UK number. It can be found on the top-
left corner of your SIM card. This number
begins with 44.

YOUR U.S.A. ROAM MOBILITY NUMBER


(+1 USA number)
Your USA Roam Mobility number is your
USA number. It is not activated by default.
To activate it, follow the instructions
below:
1. Ensure that you are using the right
profile (as detailed in the ‘Your 3
Profiles’ section before activating.
2. Dial *160#
3. You will receive a text message with
your USA Roam Mobility number. This
number will begin with 1. Please take
note of the number.
• ONLY activate your USA number once.
• ONLY activate before you intend to use.

YOUR PIN & PUK


Your PIN is the 5-digit number printed on
the top-right corner on the back of your
SIM card.
Your PUK is the 8-digit number printed on
the top-right corner on the back of your
SIM card. This number is used to activate
your Roam Mobility service.
YOUR ROAM MOBILITY ACCOUNT
Your Roam Mobility account is created
when you activate your Roam Mobility
service or when you make a purchase
from our online store.
You will need to log in to your Roam
Mobility account to purchase from our
online store (including purchasing top
up credit) or access your Roam Mobility
Control Panel. To log in to your Roam
Mobility account, follow the instructions
below:
1. Go to www.roammobility.com
2. Click ‘My Account’ on the top-right
corner of the screen.

YOUR ROAM MOBILITY CONTROL


PANEL
Your Roam Mobility Control Panel shows
your account information and offers
many additional calling features. For more
information, refer to the User Guide.
To access your Roam Mobility Control
Panel, follow the instructions below:
1. Go to www.roammobility.com
2. Log in to your Roam Mobility account.
3. Click ‘Control Panel’.

YOUR 3 PROFILES
Your Roam Mobility SIM card has 3 unique
profiles. Use the relevant profile when
traveling to different parts of the world,
as described below. Failure to do so may
result in additional roaming charges, or
cause your SIM card to malfunction.
1. Global Roaming Profile: Use
anywhere in the world apart from the
USA and Italy. When making a call
using this profile, you are calling with
your Global Roam Mobility number
(+44 UK number).
2. USA Roaming Profile: Use in the
USA only. When making a call using
this profile, you are calling with your
USA Roam Mobility number (+1 USA
number). You will need to activate
your USA Roam Mobility number
before you can make a call using this
profile.
3. Prime Roaming Profile: Use in Italy
only. When making a call using this
profile, you are calling with your
Global Roam Mobility number (+44
UK number).

CHANGING PROFILES
To switch between profiles, follow the
instructions below:
1. Go to ‘Menu’ by selecting the center
button.
2. Select ‘Office Tools’.
3. Scroll down and select ‘SIM Menu’.
4. Select ‘Roaming Services’.
5. Select the profile you want to switch
to.
6. Select ‘Yes’ when asked to confirm to
continue.
7. Follow onscreen instructions.
Using Roam Mobility
RATES
Incoming calls received on your Global
Roam Mobility number (+44 UK number)
are FREE in 65 countries. Outside of the 65
countries, incoming calls are charged per
minute. Charges vary by country.
Incoming calls received on your USA Roam
Mobility number (+1 USA number) are
charged $0.25 USD per minute on top of
any incoming call charges that may apply
(ie when receiving a call outside of the 65
countries).

MAKING CALLS
All calls made through your Roam
Mobility SIM card are international calls.
You must always dial the country code of
the person you are calling, even if you are
calling within the country you are in.
1. Dial: (*) (country code) (area code)
(phone number) (#)
Example: The number you want to call
is (604)555-5555. To make
the call, dial *16045555555#
In this example, the country
code is 1 and the area code
is 604.
NOTE: The country code for North
America is 1.
2. Select ‘Send’. Ignore ANY messages
that you may receive on your mobile
phone.
3. You will then receive an incoming call.
4. Answer the call and wait for the other
party to receive the call.

RECEIVING CALLS
Calls can be received on either of your
Roam Mobility numbers at any time,
regardless of your selected profile or the
country you are in.
TEXT MESSAGING
Roam Mobility supports incoming and
outgoing standard text messaging (SMS).
1. Create your text message (maximum
of 160 characters)
2. Select ‘Send To’.
3. Dial: (+) (country code) (area code)
(phone number)
Example: +16045555555
4. Select ‘Send’.
NOTE: Hold (0) for 2 seconds - it will
automatically convert to a (+)
sign.

CREDIT BALANCE
There are 2 ways to check your credit
balance:
1. Dial *187# on your phone.
2. Access your Roam Mobility Control
Panel. Your credit balance is shown
under the ‘My Account’ tab.
ADDING CREDIT
There are 3 ways to add credit to your
Roam Mobility account:
1. TXTup: Register for TXTup and you
can top up your credit by sending a
text message. Please see the TXTup
section for more information.
2. Roam Mobility Store: Go to
www.roammobility.com/store. Click
on ‘Top Up’ and select the amount of
credit you need.
3. Contacting Customer Service: Dial
*154# to contact customer service. We
will top up your credit for you.

TXTUP
TXTup lets you top up your credit
anywhere in the world, at any time, by
sending a text message.
For more information on TXTup, and to
register for this service, go to
www.roammobility.com/txtup
To top up your credit using TXTup, follow
the instructions below:
1. Create a text message with “txtup”
followed by the amount of credit you
want to purchase.
Example: “txtup 30” will add
$30.00 USD of credits to your account
2. Send message to: +447786207493
3. You will receive a text message
confirming your request and
requesting for confirmation.
NOTE: You need to have enough credit
to send 1 text messages to use
TXTup.
VOICEMAIL
Incoming calls will be directed to your
voicemail if unanswered within 30
seconds, or if your phone is turned off.
There are 3 ways to access your voicemail:
1. Individual message access: You will
receive a text message whenever a
voicemail is received. Reply to the text
message. The voicemail system will call
you back and play the message.
2. General access: Dial *121# to access
your voicemail. Follow the voice
prompts to skip, replay or delete
messages.
3. Roam Mobility Control Panel: Access
your Roam Mobility Control Panel and
click the ‘Mobile Manager’ tab. Then,
click ‘Review Voicemail’ on the left.
Roam Mobility Quick Access
Codes
Dial any of the following Roam Mobility
Quick Access Codes to access the relevant
service. Please allow up to 45 seconds for
a response.
For a detailed description of each Roam
Mobility Quick Access Code, please refer
to our User Guide.

(Phone Number) (#) - Turn on call
forwarding and forward to the number
entered
Example: *10216045555555# to forward
incoming calls to (604)555-5555
*103# - Turn off call forwarding
*121# - Access voicemail
*122# - Turn on voicemail
*123# - Turn off voicemail
*122xx# - Voicemail Time Interval: Sets
the time interval before incoming calls are
directed to voicemail
Example: *12245# sets incoming calls to
be directed to voicemail after 45 seconds
*125# - Display the time interval before
voicemail starts
*133# - Display your mobile number
*154# - Contact Customer Service: You
will get an incoming call connecting you
to Customer Service
*160# - Activate your USA Roam Mobility
number
*187# - Check credit balance
#*1 - Start Call Recording
#*2 - End Call Recording
#*3 - Start Conference Call

Mobility come with the manufacturer’s
