1. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
My Strengths are:
Curiosity to learn new things and
Never to give up attitude of mine.
My Weaknesses:
Over reaction over trivial issues.
Hesitation in taking rude decisions.
2. Your goals?
As a management student my goal is to learn and inculcate the basic management
principles and develop the characteristics of a good a manager. I want to peruse a
good career opportunities in my life ahead. Working for a good and reputed
organization where my strengths are acknowledged and my weaknesses are
handled.

3. Your role model (state specific reason for the same)?


My mother is my role model as she is an epitome of love and affection. She
performs all her tasks with utmost dedication and commitment. She understands
me as well as makes me understand what she wants to.

4. A book that has inspired you the most and why?


A book by Chetan Bhagat Revolution 20-20 inspires me as it is based on the
Friendship, Love , being ambitious, jealousy and other critical issues that every
youngster passes through in his her life.

5. What do you expect from your course/ programme ?


I expect from my course to impart me advance level of knowledge, ensure clarity
of fundamentals so that I have better insight of my course i.e.banking and finance.
This addition to my knowledge would help me getting a better placement in the
beginning and thereafter at the workplace also.

6. What are your expectations from the behavioural science course?


This course of behavioural science is a value addition course to our specialization
courses. This adds value in a student in terms of his personality development ,
confidence building, public speaking and hereby leads to overall career growth.

Learnings from any five of Classroom Activities

Activity 1: Learning Outcomes:


Leadership Qualities:
I have tried to learn and inculcate the qualities that a good leader should possess.
These types of behavior will help a manager to take the whole group along with
him and thereby helps him to prove a effective manager.
Activity 2: Learning Outcomes:
Group Dynamics:
I have acquired the skill set required to share the ideas of the group and try to
reach a consensus. Working in a group with heterogeneous people is itself a skill
that needs to be learnt and acquired.

Adjustments:
To discuss the conflicting views of the group members and find an amicable
solution sometimes requires us to compromise or adjustment regarding certain
issues.

Effective Oratory:
Effective participation in group discussions and lectures has inculcated in me an
effective oratory skills and developed a sense of confidence and public speaking

Decision Making:
Faced with different difficult situations and finding effective solutions thereof
have helped a lot in my decision making skills which is the key or the primary
requirement of each and every manager.

My Learning Experiences
1. Elaborate on the need of team building in your profession. Explain with
examples.
Need of Team Building:
One single person is not equally efficient in each and every activity or task
therefore in order to manage all the activities efficiently a manager needs to have a
team of individuals who are efficient in different aspect of an activity.
Team building helps to ensure effective decision making, it broadens the outlook of
the team members, develop trust among each other, timely completion of the work
with effective cost saving.

2. Explain with example the need and relevance of delegation of power and
responsibilities.
Delegation of power and responsibilities means that you are distributing the work
that you have among your subordinates matching the need and requirement of
work to be performed with the qualification of the employees.
Relevance of delegation of power and responsibilities:
Effective management of work by the managers
Sense of commitment towards the organization
Better work management
Improved superior subordinate relationships
Motivation of employees.

3. Some leaders have incredible influence on their followers. What strategies


or procedures do they use to influence their followers?
The success of a leader depends upon how effectively he is able to manage and led
his team under his supervision. This can be done by numerous ways. It is the
approach of a leader which differentiates between a good leader and a bad leader.
Effective strategies followed by good leaders:
Effective communication skills: A good leader should ensure that there
should be effective and clarity of communication among the group members
so that any type confusion can be avoided.
Well educated: Before influencing others, a leader himself should have
enough knowledge about the work then only he can led the team in the right
and proper direction.
Open minded: a leader needs to have an open minded approach and should
be positive towards the suggestions and ideas from its team members and
followers.
Maintain the dignity and respect of each and every member of his group.
Above listed are the key or the primary strategies that could be followed by
a leader to influence its group.

4.How did this course help you grow? Explain in the context of your strengths
and shortcomings.
The course of management helps me to learn and develop a holistic perspective
over the business world and thereby opening a better career options for me.
As per my strength of never to give up things, this course offers me to take up new
and challenging tasks to overcome where i lack.
The curiosity of learning new things helps me to maintain my focus over the
critical issues.
My weakness of thinking over the critical issues can be channelized into the
positive direction of analyzing the key areas of management.
