Rewinder Earthing System, RES 2000, Specifications

The Rewinder Earthing System (RES 2000) is designed to provide the lowest impedance between a External Floating Roof Tank Shell
(wall) and its roof by creating the shortest possible path between the two. This connection is obtained by keeping constant tension on
the wide tinned copper braided cable, which takes advantage of the skin effect at lightning frequencies. The RES2000 needs minimal
maintenance and is easy to install on both new and existing tanks in petrochemical, water treatment, and other facilities. The RES2000
can be installed during erection, maintenance shut downs or during regular operation of a tank. As purchased, the RES2000 assembly
contains everything required for installation except for an anti-corrosive coating used to protect the RES2000 connections at the tank
wall and roof.
