How to Win in the Game of Thrones Ascent

Sygrid and Aldrahn of the House Stormbrynger

This guide will help you build your character and work towards helping win a region in
AvA. You will not be able to do this overnight, or even in one phase, but everyone should
be working towards these goals over the next weeks.
1/ Finish your reincarnations!
Reincarnate into all fealties and in the end of each reincarnation, choose to perm the
fealty building (e.g. Hunting Lodge for Stark). Go through the reincarnations as fast
as possible! (It does tend to get borning after awhile.) Produce a lot of bread on the
way, and then produce some more! Bread bread bread! End in your favorite fealty, or
should you choose one of the AvA powerful fealties Tyrell, Baratheon, Lannister,
Martell or Greyjoy.
2/ Power Level!
Power leveling is when your character levels up faster than normal!
How to Power Level in 6 steps
step 1: Reincarnate into your final fealty (See 1). Decide which stat you are going to
keep at 0.
step 2: Open your buildings, but be careful about which buildings you open, do not
upgrade the buildings of your 0 stat. For example, if you keep battle at 0, do not upgrade
the smithy, do not do the battle upgrades in any building!!!!
step 3: Join the facebook group:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/GoTABQSlowKill/?ref=bookmarks, fill in the
registration form, join the boss quests, post yours.
step 4: Hit the boss quests with your 0 stat (so, if you choose to keep battle at 0, hit with
fight, harass, or aid). Hit them as much as you can. The boss quests will run for days, so
you will get a lot of hits out of them, and gain a bunch of levels.
step 5: Repeat until you are at a level you think is good. For example, ideally if I dont get
bored, I will stop power leveling at ~level 3000
step 6: Stop power leveling. Open all upgrades on your buildlings

3/ Build an army (You can do this while you Power Level)

Once you have done all the featly reincarnations, buy as many swords as
possible. What does a powerful AvA army look like?

100+ Corruptors (at least 50)

100+ Vanguards (at least 50)

100+ Charlatans (at least 50)

100+ Saboteurs (at least 50)
100+ Agents Only if you are part of the Spymaster team
Mechants and protectors - do not train, we wont use these for fighting.

In the new AvA, Harass and Steal are nerfed. Build skirmishers and
thieves only if you like the actions!
4/ Train your army ( Again, you can do this at the same time as you Power
Level)
Open the adventure party talents. After you Power Level, you will be able
to send out large adventure parties. This way you will train your army, plus
you will farm for sworn sword gear and resources useful for dragon crafting
etc.
All Sworn Sword training points should be applied only to the specialty %
ie fight, swindle, etc. You can equip your SS before or after you train them. It
does not make a big difference. Personally, I train my s swords naked and
then equip them once they are level 18 and I remove them from the
adventure party. Train your swords in an adventure party up to level 18 (there
is a more than 7000 point gap between 18 and 19 so focus on getting a large
number of level 18 SS and then go back and train a group of each combat
specialty to higher levels). The best way to train SS is to use the high level
adventures in vol 3 and vol 4. Vol 3 give you powerful items like false coins
and grand short hauberks (youll need a lot of these for your charlatans and
vanguards). Vol. 4 gives you the fealty banners that are good (at least if you
are in a fealty like greyjoy, martel, baratheon, and lannister) and also in the
other adventure they give you a strong companion.
Have a seperate group of peerless Sworn Swords for Tales. Train them in
their "main stats" ie Battle, Trade or Intrigue. Playing tales will gain you gold!
6/ Character Gear ~ Need for Speed
Speed is the key to win in AVA. Sending out faster attacks basically means
you send out MORE attacks in an hour, and therefore gain more VP. Before
you know it you are scoring 2 Million VP, and you are annihilating your
enemies. Below is a guide to the best gear in AvA, which you buy and wear
on your main character. NOTE: Only put speed gear on your main character,
otherwise you will have some SSs come back before the rest and they will
have a greater chance of dying.

Armour
The best AvA armours atm are the Targaryen evolvable armors. You need to buy
the first item from the shop and then work on evolving it into:

Companions
*** A young, adolescent, or mature dragon trumps any other companion for your
main character. They will give you more stats and speed than anything else out
there. Equip the colour dragon that matches the attack you're sending out.

7/ Death
Do not get attached to your s swords. They will die! This is why we train a lot
of swords. When your frontline of swords die, garrison your second line of
swords and pay 100 silver to replace your dead.
8/ Upgrade camps
Use your resources wisely, upgrade the high priority camps as the leadership
announces.
9/ Attack
Everyone should garrison their full GP in the camps. Send out waves of
attacks (when you reach level 3000, you should be able to send 195 SSs at a
time) This is much easier than sending out one SS at a time. Garrison
according to the instructions posted on the facebook War Chat, or the rookery
chat. We win as a team!!!!
10/ Barters

Send as many barters to teammates (check the bartering post on facebook

group) as possible to save up silver for the camps, and to level up further.
