DETAILS OF CONTENTS
1.0 Introduction
1.1 Introduction, planning concept, flow of space, circulation, space requirement,
standard size of furnitures.
1.2 Develop the openings using various shapes/forms.
1.3 Introduction to climatic condition in design of building.
2.0 Preparation of Architectural Drawings
2.1 Design Alternative Plans, Elevation, section Views (Exteriors and Interiors) and
Detailed working drawings using the given data for the following buildings
(Minimum two storeys)
2.2 Residential buildings- Single and double bed roomed houses with ground and
first floor
2.3 Primary School building/post office/bank/public building. - (Area 200.0 Sqm)
3.0 Measured Drawing (Not for Exam)
3.1 Measure drawing of a small residential/small primary school/post
office/bank/public building
3.2 To prepare plan, section and elevation and other relevant enlarged details
Graded Exercises of the following using suitable scale
1 Prepare schemes using concept of bubble diagram showing interlinking of
different spaces
2 Prepare plan showing circulation area and usable area in different colours
3 Prepare plan and elevation of household gadgets, furniture and vehicles to
required scale
SCHEME OF EVALUATION
Time :
At the end of the examination small apartment with one/two bed room or small
primary school/post office/bank/public building with area not exceeding 200 Sq.
Mts., should be drawn with given scheme of line sketch or soft copy.

2. Preparation of Drawing
showing all units, openings etc.,

3. Section & Elevation
: 20 marks
4. Detailings
: 10 marks
5. Sessional works/ portfolios

Note :
1. Lecture class shall be covered through illustration of Drawings, Pictures and
building components to
relevant topics.
2. Minimum 3 - 4 visits should be arranged to the building of similar types or
construction site.
