1.0

SCOPE OF WORK
This method statement define the process and procedure for the
Construction of L Shape Precast Concrete.

2.0

CONSTRUCTION METHOD

2.1

Location of the L Shape casting shall be located within the site area.
A proper compacted and levelled ground shall be prepared for the
Concreting of L Shape precast.

2.2

Reinforcement steel bars will be fabricated as per the construction

drawing. Once the steel bar cage is finished prepared, lower the
steel bar cage onto the steel mould. Mould oil shall be applied on the
mould prior to the above work.

2.3

Once finish lowering stage cage onto the mould, the vertical steel
mould shall be closed properly to avoid any leakage during
concreting.

2.4

Upon completion, a joint inspection with Client/Consultant shall be

conducted prior to concreting. After obtaining approval for
concreting by consultant, concreting work will be carried out.

2.5

During concreting work, vibrating engine poker and external vibrator

shall be used provide sufficient compaction to the concrete.

2.6

Steel mould will be dismantling after 12 hours of concreting.

SAFETY MEASURE
The following safety measure are essential and shall be followed by
all staff and works :-

Ensure that safety levels at worksite are satisfactory.

Ensure that all construction personnel are given adequate briefing

and information on safety at construction site.

Create a safer, healthier and more organized working environment.

Provide personnel with full range of protective and safety equipment

(PPE) such as safety helmet.

Provide adequate safety tool and erect safety signs at points may
pose risk of accidents.

Regular housekeeping is necessary to mantain site cleanliness.

Adequate and proper lightings to be provide for night works.

The supervisor / foremen shall guide the machinery operator

especially during lifting work.

Supervisor and crane operator shall ensure that ground condition is

safe for crane prior to conduct lifting work. If required steel plate
shall be used as crane platform.

5.0

QUALITY RECORD AND DOCUMENTATION

5.1

Checking list for L Shape precast inspection will be prepared for the
Consultant during joint inspection.

6.0

ENVIRONMENTAL PLAN
Health and environment plan procedure will be strictly followed
during the whole process :-

6.1

Dust due to lorries will be controlled during the concreting work by

Spraying water along the access route.

6.2

Take necessary precaution to prevent deposition of debris, rubbish,

silt, waste materials, chemical, etc. From entering existing
stream/waterway during construction.

6.3

Take necessary precaution to ensure that tires of all vehicles

including concrete lorries leaving the site area free of mud.

6.4

Not to carry out open burning at site, unless with written permission
from the authorities.

6.5

Provide proper disposal of waste and refuse.
