This chart s a guide to the maxmum mass allowed. The actual mass allowed is the LESSER of the sum of the axle mass limits, the
manufachirers ratings, the mass limits relatlng to axle group spacings and the regulatory mass limits.
Vehicles with tri axles operating at Higher Mass Limits and Bloubles are only permtted on approved routes and must carry copies of
the following information bulletins:

These vehicles are allowed an additional 0.5 tonne on the steer axle, whch adds 0.5 tonne to the permifted gross mass (see
example below), if they comply with all of the following:

.
.

Euro 4 engine as required in ADR 80/0'l and ADR 80/02 or later versions;
Front Undenun Protection Device (FUPS) (UN ECE Regulation No 93);

lncreased cabin strength (UN ECE Regulation No 29);

A manufacturers GVM greater than 1 5 tonnes; and
The vehicle is appropriately raled
E.g. (6.5 + 16.5 + 20) = 43.0 (an increase of 0.5 tonne in gross weight does not require an increase in axle spacings)
