I think on the market context the consumer sentiments have remained quite
muted as you are probably aware for the last 12 months and the same thing has
continued this quarter as well. However, this year the festive season was
basically falling in quarter three which was split last year between quarter two
and quarter three and this helped us the entire industry to post stronger growth
this quarter compare to the H1 performance so far. However, this quarter is also
marked by continued high intensity promotion and discount across the industry
as player chase growth aggressively, this is particularly true of the E-commerce
channel which further increased the pressure during the quarter.
had increased our advertising spend by almost 60% - 58% to be accurate during
the quarter.
The other major initiative the company has taken is actually a very wide scale
digital transformation through a comprehensive Omni-channel program to create
a seamless consumer experience across his physical and digital presence in line
with the evolving consumer who is increasingly buying online.
