A Perfumer's Garden
L'OCCITANE at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
LOCCITANE is delighted to return to Chelsea once again this year, following
the success of our gold-medal-winning show garden in 2012. Bringing Provence
to the heart of London, the new garden will bring to life the sights and scents
of Grasse, the world capital of perfumery, with the help of award-winning garden
designer, James Basson.

The region of Grasse unites all the know-how of perfume-making in a single place:
the cultivation of flowers, their transformation, extraction and composition, allowing
a fragrance creator to work with a wide palette of precious materials.
Garden designer James Basson, who has won awards at the RHS Chelsea and
Hampton Court shows, will be designing the LOCCITANE garden. Modelled around
Bassons first-hand experiences at home in Grasse, the garden will bring together
the key plants and breath-taking scents from the rich landscapes around Grasse.

The Scent of Spring in Provence

The garden will recreate the Provenal hillsides


and the history of the perfume industry in Grasse.
It will feature Osmanthus, Iris, Bergamot, Lavender,
Thyme, Fig, Rosemary all key ingredients in the
LOCCITANE fragrance collection.
