How Travel has changed our lives

The desire to explore

the world started out
for us from a simple
curiosity: to see
something different.
Travel has brought us
a long way since then.
Not only are we
fascinated by the
diversity our planet
and its peoples, but
weve learned to see
ourselves differently.
Travel humbles us,
challenges us and
gives perspective to
our lives.

Authentic travel
experiences are
always unique. They
allow us to become
better travelers,
better people and it
is the most
rewarding selfbetterment weve
found for our lives.
Travel has so many
benefits, it has
made us:
-more creative
-more focused on
goals
-less selfish
-open to new ways
of thinking

We hope you enjoy the following destinations which

have shaped who we are and how we see the world:

-better planners
-more grateful

Guatemala

Top attractions in Guatemala:

This land of volcanoes, sea and perfect weather has
impressed on us how little known places can be full of
wonders.

The countrys reputation for safety suffered much in the

last decades. However it is ever increasing its tourism
infrastructure, hotel offerings and language study
opportunities. Weve observed the changes through
many visits over the years.

-Tikal is the centerpiece of the Maya

civilization that occupied this area.

-Antigua (not the island!) is the former

capital of the country. It is a magical town
that sits in the shadow of the countrys
major volcanoes.

-Lake Atitlan is a crystal clear lake in the

highlands with a volcano in the backdrop.

Bosnia Herzegovina

It is one of the underexplored countries of

Europe and a place where
strong faith and traditions
are practiced in an open
minded way.

The country has a unique

situation at the crossroads
of Europe and it is a blend
that is easily seen in the
religions, cultures,
cuisines, art and
architecture of the region.

Cultural Etiquette:
It is a very hospitable and familiar culture. So it is customary to expect long
chats over strong coffee and good meals.
As an observant Muslim country, one can see faith is important to many,
however it offers free practice of many religions and social customs.
The conflicts from 1992-1996 were difficult for everyone here, so it is a good
idea for foreigners to avoid weighing in on these topics.

Palestine

Life continues as normal as people are able to

deal with in the streets of Palestine.

Star Bucks? When life is hard you have to make the best with whatever
you have.
Palestine: dont refrain from visiting this destination in spite what you have
heard. It is safe, people are friendly and are eager to welcome visitors
despite what youve heard in the media.

Israel
Kids are kids
wherever they
are..it seems
they could
care less about
the heavy
political issues
that divide a
city so beloved
and so
controversial
Jerusalem,
Jerusalem

So many
crossroads of
faith culture
and economy,
everything
seems to be
happening at
the same time,
that is part of
the beauty of
Israel.

Macau

People in the West call Macau the Las Vegas of

Asia, well after having seen it, Macau is second
to no one. Constantly expanding with world
class hotels, casinos and restaurants, it
showcases hospitality in a way unlike anywhere
in the West.
Macau is a beautiful contrast between the
newest development and its centuries old
colonial Portuguese center.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria sits in the quiet Southeastern quarter of Europe, a real

adventure to explore, full of a rich culture, friendly people and
historic traditions.
Cities to See:
Varna
Bansko
Sofia

Bulgaria is full of untapped wilderness. From the slopes

of Mount Vitosha which envelope the capital, to the
Black Sea shores and our personal favorite, the
affordable and untouched ski destination of Bansko:

North Cyprus

A place we were told never to go, we discovered

incredible beauty and a unique culture on the
Northern part of the island of Cyprus which has a
distinct culture, history and tradition all of its
own.

Life in Northern Cyprus is affordable,

safe and unique for visitors to explore.
We found a nice cafe where great
hospitality and excellent food were
prepared with all the ingredients of a
Mediterranean menu.

Romania
From our first of
many trips to
Romania we
knew this
country was
special. The
distinct identity
of food, religion,
art and being
Romanian is
evident and
impressive in
this land of
mountains,
plains and
castles.

Hearty
Romanian
food, elegant
surroundings
and live
classical music
make Cara Cul
Bere the most
memorable
restaurant in
Bucharest.

Bahamas

These paradise islands are

fun, so close to the united
states with so much to offer
in culture, beauty and
natural escapes.

Jordan
As an ancient landscape its
captivating. A place where
archeology comes alive in the
fellowship of an open and
vibrant culture.
Spots like Petra showcase the
wonders of history.
The Dead Sea provides an
experience of natures healing
powers.

A sunset over the Dead Sea in Jordan

Jordan has an abundance of religious sites which are

open and well preserved for all visitors. Bethany Beyond
the Jordan, the traditional baptism spot of Jesus is one of
the most engaging and majestic spots.

China

China is already a new experience in itself, but Shanghai and Beijing are
just the beginning. Weve seen deserts, plains, forests, mountains and
even the Southernmost tropical shores which you see here: Sanya, home
to luxury hotels, golf courses and tropical holidays.

Do you
associate
China with
pollution? Not
in Dalian, this
sparkling gem
of the
Northeast
offers
beautiful
coastal views
and urban
loveliness.

Hangzhou is a city
of surreal beauty.
Just a few hours
inland from
Shanghai you find
a massive city
build around a
scenic lake with
captivating
nature. China has
taught us that
theres always
another surprise
to find no matter
how often we go.

Colombia

This land of
magical realism
is a place where
the vibrant
colors of nature
and society
reflect an inner
happiness and
levity towards
life that people
share. Colombia
always feels like
coming home to
good friends.

Colombia has so much diversity, the Caribbean

coast seen here is a place of laid back attitudes and
a taste for party.

Latvia

The lovely Baltics of Northern Europe are small countries and capitals that have
unique personalities and customs. Riga is a fascinating city whose cultural
identity can be seen in the cuisine, social life, proud heritage and love of music
and art

Kazakhstan
This
mountainous
and massive
country has
remained quite
distant from
travel
itineraries. We
found a society
with strong
traditions and
major
developments
in industry,
luxuries and
lifestyle.
A view of the
impressive
mountains
which
surround the
largest city in
the country:
Almaty
The Ritz
Carlton tower
and nearby
shopping
center offer
some of the
citys top
luxury
experiences.

Egypt

More than just the shadow of a great

civilization, Egypt is a place where
tourism flourishes amidst great
archeology, affordable luxury resorts,
and extreme land and seascapes. The
harsh wilderness of Sinai, the
rainbow of Red Sea coral and the
pyramids of Giza and Temples of
Luxor. Egypt is so far beyond what we
could have imagined.

The Nile
River
winding
through Cairo

Alexandria
with its scenic
harbor and
impressive
history is the
gateway to the
Mediterranean

Brazil

Brazil is a fascinating and huge country, it can open your eyes to live life more fully.
Brazilians love the simple things, conversation, food, their bodies, nature, but all of these
things are best when shared, social interaction is not a burden but a joy here.

Croatia
Traveling in
Croatia teaches
you to slow down
and enjoy life.
The intense
natural beauty is
surrounded
everywhere by
equally
fascinating
towns, harbors
and vineyards.

Each Croatian
town is like a
temple of stone,
it gives a sense
of protection
and intimacy
while showing
the great skill
and civilization
that has been
present here for
Millennia. We
marveled at the
history most of
all in Croatia

Morocco

The North African coast

seemed like another world
from far away, but on
arrival to Morocco we were
amazed to find a country
with so many blended
traditions. The European,
Arab and Berber influences
have created art, customs,
architecture and a society
with countless treasures.
Morocco is more than it
seems to be at first glance.

An essential experience of daily life

in Morocco includes several cups of
boiling mint tea while one watches
passersby at a cafe, a stop at the
Mosque, browsing the maze like
Medina for all sorts of goods and
spices and visiting countless
museums.

Georgia

This heartland of the Caucasus impressed us mostly for its raw beauty, strong spa
culture, impressive wine collection and thousands of years of civilization.

Vietnam

Vietnam is so much
more than jungle
treks. We found
colonial history,
proud traditions,
modern cities and
truly genuine and
friendly locals who
are proud of their
country and its
constantly growing
economy.

Panama

Panama is a country of so many contrasts in such a small area. The city of

Panama is a hub of business, commerce and luxury living. The canal is one of
the most fascinating modern trade routes and the remote countryside with
virgin beach and tropical lands is worth exploring at every turn.

United Arab Emirates

The name Dubai evokes a sense of a futuristic city and a modern day marvel. This
was certainly our introduction to the UAE and we found so much more waiting
for us. After having explored all seven of the Emirates, we can say they are as
diverse and unique as any collection of individuals. Abu Dhabi is the up and
coming attraction. Ras Al Khaimah is the quiet luxury escape, Sharjah is a lesser
known but equally beautiful member. The UAE is a place of hospitality, diversity
and vision.

The Waldorf Astoria in

Ras Al Khaimah is an
example of the UAEs
booming and trend setting
hospitality and tourism
industry.

Galleria Mall Abu Dhabi

Maldives

Maldives is so remote
and so luxurious it
seemed as if traveling
there would always be
just a dream. Good
planning, hard work
and an unwillingness
to quit made getting
here a reality for us.
Maldives is the trip of
a lifetime, a costly
paradise on earth, but
worth the effort.

The capital of Male is the main

hub through which air traffic and
boat traffic connects the
thousands of islands.

San Marino

The Most Serene Republic of San Marino is one of the worlds smallest
countries. Completely encircled by Italy it shares many customs and
traditions, but the magic of the place is distinctive and the history fascinating.
Our ascent to the mountain fortress was enlightening and breathtaking.

Standing as a republic since the year 301 C.E. this unique corner of Europe has
fascinating museums, defining customs, food and a very established identity
which is a wonder for travelers.

South Africa
The
immensity
of land and
the
diversity of
two oceans
makes
South
Africa a
place
where we
redefined
our sense of
panorama.

The
country
could take
a lifetime
to explore
and thats
what makes
it so
appealing,
new people,
new places
and new
experiences
every time

Costa Rica
When we encountered nature in a pure and vivid form in Costa Rica, we were
changed by it. From the lush jungles, to the ever friendly population to the fresh
ingredients in every meal, the country is a symphony of life and it allowed us to be
more grateful and conscious of personal health and wellbeing.

Cartago, Costa Rica

Montenegro

Montenegro

The land of wild beauty is

how this lovely corner of
Europe is self-described.
When we made our way to
this fairy tale landscape we
could not have imagined
what was in store. The
combination of the electric
blue Adriatic Sea with the
ascending mountains and
dense forests is dramatic.

Much of the architecture

speaks from centuries of
ingenuity and
craftsmanship. Here we
found monasteries,
squares, great stone
facades and harbors.

Tunisia
Tunisia brings
the wonders of
North Africa, the
history of
civilizations and
the beauty of the
Mediterranean
all into one
place. This short
jump from
Europe showed
us you dont
have to go far to
see a whole new
world.

Malta
The island is a
place of
extremes, so
much packed
in a small
territory, from
extreme
religiosity to
some of the
most vibrant
night life
scenes of
Europe.

The capital city

of Valletta is
small yet full of
historical
monuments,
churches and
places that
reflect back
across empires
and
civilizations.

Indonesia

Indonesia is just massive, the capital of Jakarta has its

traffic jams and hoards of people, yet it is a city that is
intriguing and offers a fascinating range of places to
explore.

The pristine beaches and island

paradise of Bali Indonesia

Hong Kong

This metropolis seems

to be the crossroads of
the whole world. A
densely populated city
around islands, bays
and peninsulas and is it
is a paradise for foodies
and those who love
luxury shopping.
