From a background as an illustrator, comic book artist and graphic designer Sren Behncke
changed his focus in 2002 and began working solely with painting and sculpture. Initially Behncke
only used recycled cardboard as his main material and soon he became known as 'Papfar,' which
directly translate as Cardboard Dad but actually is also an affectionate term for stepfather in
Danish. He distinguished himself by creating spectacular sculptural interventions and hit-and-run
actions in public space. Behncke has subsequently added numerous methods and media to his
oeuvre and 'Sorry No Image Available' provides a rich and varied illustration of his work with
painting, collage, photography, printmaking, film, embroidery and sculpture over the past 14
years.

Impressed by glyptotheques and plaster-cast collections, Oliver Laric (born in 1981 in Innsbruck)
also started to work sculptural a few years ago, especially interested in plaster casts of Greek and
Roman sculptures and their collection history. The selection of works is informed by Larics
current research into the history and development of 3D technology, which he is also using for the
production of his works, as well as the increasingly heated contentions over authorship in the
digital age: in todays Internet culture, where content and information circulate and are recycled
beyond anyones control, anarchic structures effectively render the notion of singular authorship
moot.
For his artist's book Oliver Laric has put together a variety of "his" sculptures in the form of
renderings; precise information and download links lead to his 3D archive. It moreover includes a
timeline of 3D technology, from Franois Willmes 1860 invention to a sketch of what the global
market for 3D scans will look like in 2020, a series of renderings of the Beethoven statue from an
online competition as well as a discussion of copyright law by a legal scholar specializing in
Internet law. Anyone familiar with the Magic-Eye-principle or practiced in three-dimensional
seeing will also find 50 further sculptures in the book!

This book contains extracts from diaries written by my mother, my grandmother, my greatgrandmother and my great-great-grandmother, in other words, the female line of the family on my
mothers side. Following on the paths taken in the diaries, I went in search of the places, houses
and landscapes described in the diaries and which played a special role in our family. Most of
them are places of longing that either no longer exist, or have changed considerably. I took
copies of the diary pages with me and wrote my own entries across the lines, overwriting them
with my own experiences and thoughts. My wish was to touch those lines, to retrace the words, to
fathom them and at the same time cover and preserve their secret. That is the origin of these four
double diaries.

Anette Le Fort - Handwritings. Sevilla Diary

This booklet contains pages from a simultaneous diary, which I wrote in May 2006 in Sevilla
together with my Iraqi friend Mohamed. On three consecutive days we each wrote a double page,
he from right to left in Arabic, me from left to right in German. In the middle of the page, our hands
crossed so that each of us wrote over the text of the other. Our lines of handwriting became
intertwined and the script illegible. I captured the process of this simultaneous writing in the threepart video film Sevilla Diary (2006).
