PLAZA MAYOR

Centro de Lima.
Fue el lugar donde Francisco Pizarro fund la ciudad de
Lima en 1535. A su alrededor estn los principales
palacios de la poca colonial, como el Palacio de
Gobierno, La Catedral y la Municipalidad de Lima
Metropolitana. En el centro de la Plaza hay una
imponente pileta de bronce construida en el siglo XVII.

MUSEO DE LA NACIN
Exhibe en grandes espacios ordenados cronolgicamente
todas las manifestaciones pre hispnicas entre 14,000
a.C. y 1,532 d.C. Exposicin de cermicas y rplicas de
sitios arqueolgicos de todo el Per.

PALACIO DE GOBIERNO
CIRCUITO MAGICO DEL AGUA
Est ubicado en el Parque de la Reserva y es uno de los
ms visitados atractivos tursticos de Lima. Ostenta el
rcord Guinness para el complejo de fuentes ms grande
del mundo en un parque pblico.

Fue la residencia del conquistador Francisco Pizarro.

Contiene diversos salones y patios dedicados a
distinguidos personajes de la historia del Per y
decorados cuidadosamente con notables obras de arte.
Todos los das a las 11:45 am, en la explanada principal,
se realiza el cambio de guardia de los Hsares de junn

LA CATEDRAL
La Catedral es en s una perfecta sntesis de los estilos
arquitectnicos por los cuales ha atravesado la ciudad de
Lima desde sus orgenes hasta el da de hoy.

ARQUEOLOGA, ANTROPOLOGA E
HISTORIA
Objetos y especmenes pre hispnicos, obras maestras de
las culturas del antiguo Per. Objetos histricos de las
pocas colonial y republicana. Destacan la Estela de
Raymondi, el Obelisco Tello, huacos retratos y fardos
funerarios.

Las obras de arte de este museo han sido exhibidas en
los ms prestigiosos museos del mundo. Posee alrededor
de 50,000 piezas de cermica principalmente de las
culturas pre incas Moche y Chim, adems de una
coleccin de huacos erticos, textiles y objetos de plata y
oro.

Es un centro comercial que rpidamente se ha

convertido en un lugar muy concurrido por turistas y
residentes. No es muy grande pero est ubicado en un
hermoso malecn por el que se pueden realizar
caminatas con impresionantes vistas del mar.

La construccin del templo y el Convento de Santo
Domingo comenz con la fundacin de Lima y se
concluy a fines del siglo XVI.

Data del siglo XVII y es uno de los ms importantes

centros religiosos, culturales y artsticos de todo el Per.
Lo ms sobrecogedor de este edificio son las catacumbas,
que impresionan a ms de uno ya que fueron el antiguo
cementerio en los tiempos coloniales.

It was the place where Francisco Pizarro founded
Lima in 1535. All around are the main palaces of
the colonial era , as the Government Palace , the
Cathedral and the Municipality of Lima. In the
center of the square is an imposing bronze fountain
built in the seventeenth century.

The artworks of the museum have been exhibited in
the most prestigious museums in the world. It has
about 50,000 pieces of pottery mainly from the preInca Moche and Chimu cultures, along with a
collection of erotic figurines, textiles and silver and
gold.

It is a mall that has quickly become a popular place

for tourists and residents. Not very big but located
in a beautiful boardwalk through which you can
hike with stunning views of the sea.

The construction of the temple and the Convent of
Santo Domingo began with the founding of Lima
and was completed in the late sixteenth century.

Seventeenth century and is one of the most

important religious, cultural and artistic centers
throughout Peru. Most startling of this building are
the catacombs, which strike more than one because
they were the old cemetery in colonial times.
