The Question of Society

Ever since the foundation of modern-day Ibisha, there has been a struggle. Oh how
glad would the Cyberian and Virtuan imperialists be if they could have all the
resources available on the island! How glad would they be to gain political power
over each and every citizen of this beautiful island!
This struggle has formed us, and this is good. It has educated us in a way no school
can educate us. It has taught us to survive, to work together, and to love each other
with all we have. This struggle has defined The Way All Ibishans Have to Live By.
Because we are a small society on a small island, we have to be smart and have to
live according to a set of rules. These rules will guarantee our freedom and
prosperity, and will let us advance intellectually.
Therefore, a good Ibishan, in the perfect Ibishan society, lives according the
following rules:
1. A good Ibishan always puts Ibisha before anything else;
2. A good Ibishan always puts his fellow Ibishan before himself;
3. A good Ibishan is willing to sacrifice a top spot if this helps Ibisha or his fellow
Ibishan(s);
4. A good Ibishan always helps immigrants in Ibisha;
5. A good Ibishan loves the Spanish language;
6. A good Ibishan always wants to promote the use of the Spanish language on
Ibisha;
7. A good Ibishan always obeys the Ibishan Leadership;
8. A good Ibishan always wants to receive education in order to help the Ibishan
society move forward;
9. A good Ibishan is always willing to fulfill any role the Ibishan Leadership asks
him to fulfill;
10. A good Ibishan loves and obeys the Ibishan President.
In short, a good Ibishan is willing to sacrifice everything to defend his compatriots
and his country. In turn, his country and his compatriots will serve him, creating a
chain-effect which will make the whole country better over time.

A great example is our Dearest Leader The Socialist, who willingly sacrificed his
Advanced status and became a Gangster in the 85th trade period, only to cleanse
Ibisha of all foreign and criminal influences. As our Dearest Leader, he succeeded
and triumphed over Cyberian criminals.
We all have to follow his example, even willing to sacrifice a trade period, our
status, or willing to risk bankruptcy. If we can help our country, we must do it, just
as our Dearest Leader has demonstrated.
The Question of Society is answered by another question, once asked by a great
thinker and politician:
"Ask not, what your country can do for you. Ask what, you can do for your
country."
John F. Kennedy
Ask yourself this every day, in everything you do, and you will be the best Ibishan
our country can wish for.

The Question of Economy

We are truly blessed as a people. We live in the greatest land of the Federation, and
we have everything we will ever need. Our grounds are rich regarding resources.
The location of our beloved island is perfect. The brightest people come from
Ibisha. It is impossible to deny that Ibisha is a good position to do well
economically.
Self-sustenance is a major goal for Ibisha. We have demonstrated that we are better
than any other country in the Federation, our economy works regardless of trading
with other countries or not. A good Ibishan is convinced of this, and carries this
philosophy out. Still, one should to stick to a protectionist mindset, but should be
convinced that Ibisha is capable of everything.
As the Ten Rules, outlined in The Question of Society, demand, one should always
be willing to sacrifice a top spot in the final ranking. A good Ibishan knows his
time will come in the future, and that the economy of our glorious island is capable
of anything. In another trade period it is very well possible he will get helped by
his compatriots, so he must be willing to help them as well.
A good Ibishan thinks for himself and negotiates. One should never be abused by
others economics-wise. Still, to help advance newcomers or person capable of
winning a trade period, one should always consider sacrificing his spot.
A beautiful example of this willingness to sacrifice oneself is our Dear President
Craftsman. A brilliant trader, he sacrificed every trade-period after the liberation of
Ibisha to help the country forward. Not since the foundation of our modern state
has he been able to trade freely, although he wants to, because he obliged himself
to become President after our Dearest Leader The Socialist was shot bankrupt in
several acts of terrorism.
Our Dear President Craftsman has set an example every Ibishan should live by.
Unfortunately it is not always possible to become rich, or to sell the product of
your Instead, he looks where he can help and will negotiate to prevent a similar
situation in the future.

The Ibishan economy became prosperous because of the careful planning and
cooperation of the entire population. Everyone should contribute to this in order to
make the island even more prosperous.

The Question of Leadership

Modern-day Ibisha was built on the Hispanic culture, compromising the Spanish
and Latin American culture. It is important for every good Ibishan to realize this,
as these cultures are radically different from what is common in the rest of the
Federation. Hispanic immigrants formed modern-day Ibisha and liberated it from
the cruel Virtuans. Still, Ibisha developed its own culture of which ibismo forms a
large part.
The main goal of the Ibishan Leadership is to promote Hispanic culture on the
island, and the Spanish language above all. It is impossible for an Ibishan President
to be anything but a Spanish speaker. A good Ibishan only serves a Spanishspeaking President, and revolts in case a non-Spanish speaker seizes power. The
Spanish language is the foundation of the glorious nation of Ibisha, even though
many non-Spanish-speaking people inhabit the island.
Our Dearest Leader The Socialist has made this very clear since he rightfully
liberated Ibisha: "No foreigner [non-Spanish speaker] can be President of Ibisha,
ever. Our Dear President Craftsman later confirmed this.
A good Ibishan pays respect to the three most important men in the history of the
glorious nation of Ibisha:
The Socialist, liberator of Ibisha for the Hispanic people and therefore our
Dearest Leader. Fought for decades to free Ibisha from the iron fist of tyrant
riemer_1990, and rightfully succeeded in his righteous task.
Craftsman, second President after The Socialist and President for many trade
periods. Rightfully earned the title Dear President for everything he has done
for the Ibishan people.
alfondo, great thinker and comrade of the Ibishan people. Earned the title
Dear Comrade for his brilliant trading skills and positive influence on
Ibishan life. Has been a Member of Ibishan Leadership since the liberation
of the island.

It is impossible for a good Ibishan to disrespect these men. Disrespecting them is

equal to committing the worst sin one can imagine. It is every Ibishan's task to
obey them, in order to help the island move forward. Without the leadership of
these men it is impossible to even think of making progress. Everything revolves
around them as they have proven to only want the best for Ibisha, and they know
how to reach the best possible for the glorious nation.

Practical Applications of the Ibismo Idea

In the 94th trade period, the greatest thinkers from Ibisha gathered in a meeting to
expand the Ibismo Idea and come up with a list of practical applications of this
glorious principle.
Comrade and former President marcelbuter came up with the following principles,
for which we must thank and honor him in all eternity.
He [marcelbuter] stated the following:
We need to promote the following things in Ibisha to make sure we stay dominant:
1. Increase the number of traders
- More traders = more activity in the beginning of the round = more chance for
early expansion
2. Buy Ibishan
- If you are not losing sales and don't have anywhere to go, wait
- Educate others in what the minimum expansion size should be
3. Export every day
- Even if it is not that profitable, the increase in overall turnover is worth it for the
island
4. Sell to tourists
- If someone asks what product to take, ask them to take a non-Top 20 product with
high tourist sales like pumps/engines, electronics, guns, etc
- If you don't get tourists with your product, resell other people's products to
tourists

5. Expand to last 24 hours offline

- Makes sure we spend as little as possible in the FES
- Impulse to economy in first week so we can expand to other countries quicker
- People will less time can also take an active part in the trade on the island
6. Auction when possible
- Even if at cost price, the island will benefit
7. Sell overseas
- Quick gain of market share
- Tourist sales abroad as well (not sure if that is the case)
8. Foreign resource MV's
- Make sure that if people need resources for non-basic products that part of that
money goes to Ibisha
- Buy up resources quick in prime cities to make sure our cost price stays relatively
low
- Make sure we never run out
9. Excellent harbor management
- Low cost price for sales abroad
- Cheap import of resources as listed in point 8.
- If any other players want to sell abroad, make sure Ibisha gets a cut
