1. Introduction
This document explains the new adapter thread extension for the delay line assembly of
the following calibration kits: 2.92 mm and 3.5 mm.

3. Delay Line Assembly Procedure

Follow all 7 steps to complete the delay assembly. Procedure is the same for 2.92 mm
and 3.5 mm. Select adapter accordingly.
1. Screw the Cal Kit Focus transition connector male into the female
Screw only a few turns in order to slide the male side adapter inside the
assembly.

2. Slide the male side of the adapter into the Focus transition connector
assembly
Female-male adapter is shown. Male-male can be also used.

3. Screw the male Focus transition connector until contact is made with
the adapter
Hold the female Focus transition connector and screw the male Focus transition
connector until the male side of the adapter is properly inserted into the male
Focus transition connector as shown in figure 8. If the adapter is not entered as
shown, the male Focus transition connector will protrude by more than in. Do
not use a wrench to tighten. Do it by hand to not overload the adapter.

4. Place the delay pin into the delay holder

Enter the pin as shown.

5. Place delay pin into the opposite female adapter using step 4 sub
assembly
Place the pin using the pin holder as shown in figure 10.

6. Place delay ring into female adapter

Place the delay ring as shown in figure 11.

7. Screw step 6 assembly into step 3 assembly

Gently screw both assemblies together to achieve good contact.
