All
sampling
devices
should
be
decontaminated, then wrapped in aluminum
foil. The sampling device should remain in
this wrapping until it is needed. Each
sampling device should be used for only one
sample. Disposable sampling devices for
sediment are generally impractical due to
cost and the large number of sediment
samples which may be required. Sampling
devices should be cleaned in the field using
the decontamination procedure described in
the Sampling Equipment Decontamination
SOP.
