"THE ULTIMATE AIM OF ALL creative activity IS THE
BUILDING"
Gropius in "Bauhaus"
The Associate Members of the AIA Los Angeles Chapter represent 445 people from many different coun-
tries, schools and regions. What we all have in common is that we choose to join the AIA and are dedicat-
ing our lives to careers in architecture with a common goal of becoming a licensed architect.

As your Associate Director, I would like to keep you informed about relevant information related to your
benefits as AIA|LA members, chapter events, IDP News, Emerging Professional Events and Networking
Opportunites. While we all find ourselves facing this economic downturn, it is a time to work towards the
common goal of creating great architecture.

AIA|LA values your feedback and would love to hear from you regarding event ideas you have for
spring

Associate AIA members. If you have an inspirational quote to submit for the next AIA|LA Associate
NEWS issue, please email your quote to me.

Sincerely,

Craig M. Hammond, Assoc. AIA
