Mitigation

Problems
Excessive usage of pipes in slab soffit before concreting
Great effort while hauling rebar on slab
Difficulty in delivering proper finishing in fascia with small gaps of 4" or 6"
Difficult to build walls with unusual length or breadth like 3", 6", etc
Excessive use of cement as Ghola in case of machine made bricks before plastering
soil settlement seen at outside of Building where checker tile laying.
Seen & occurred in Most of the houses
dampness seen in joint of RCC slab & brick work
Seepage through door sill
Higher percentage of soil and silt in sand
Layer of green patches, swelling at the toe of building (which may be due to capillary
action)
Expensive and time consuming while laying small tiles (eg. Guocera)
Difficult to find and repair unique tiles in case of seepage
Not in right angle, non-uniform thickness, warpness
Excess visible cracks in Katni marble+Seen lots of patches of Quartz, wrapness in single pc,
thikness varry within 1 pc.
Abundant cracks in precast coping
Extra cost for door jamb and sill plaster & erection cost excessive
Wastage of 5' of section 7697 (door shutter vertical) if 5.8m is imported
Mosquito net not stable in section, hinge seen rust, not having lock
Hardwares: Handle broken, loose handle with screw while operating, rust in door hinge
always shortage of Al Section
dampness remains inside wall in long duration, After application the drying time takes
longer

seepage,swelling, undulation problem

Non-uniform final finish in paint ( Colour Shade)
Expensive, different color in different lot
Changes of light and power points on changing partition walls by clients & design
modification itself.
switches & sockets availablity only in 1 shop in ktm
DB location in toilet wall so electrical short circuit problem occurs
Execess soil and waste pipes ,-ve effeft in the aesthetic view of elevation
excess Thick ness of mortar of whole buiilding( as compared to norms) due to Pipe line in
floor & maintenace problem while seen defect
Seepage seen in puncture of Floor slab at bathroom.
Seepage from Pex pipe line(Partially joint fitting).
CP nipple crack
PPR pipes hot water line in winter season
Water logged in car porch area.
PPR pipes joining part either crack or flow passage narrow due to bad work by heating plate
Untimely delivery of drawings, Mismatch between structural and architectural drawings
Lack of skilled manpower ( basically in finishing item like plaster repair area, tile marble,
granite repair work etc..)

Solutions/Suggestions
Use 3"x3" or 4"x4" timba in soffit which will reduce vertical props also
Use Chain pulley
Provide invert fascia
Limit L or B to at least 4" or 9"
Avoid the use of machine made bricks, so use of local brick.
Due to improper compaction. Not followed construction norms.
Either grrove to be given in joint, provide pop cornice on this joint or Brick work to be carried out before Form work of
Beam & slab
6" ht. & 4" th PCC band to be provide at the wall line while in design.
To be constructed RCC sill band minmum 2" height at door sill.
Sand should be extracted from good quarry & proper washing should be done
External plaster & punning at least upto tie beam level & water proofing chemical coating.
Use larger sized tiles like White Horse
Restrict clients to use their own unique tiles
Use crazy insitu instead of mosaic
Use alternate marble
Use white marble coping (but may have high initial cost)
Door frame should arrive on time so that erect while in brick work.
Import section 7697 with length 4.3m (ie 14')
Mosquito section has to be revised ( stronger section), Hinge to be quality one, Lock adjustment section to be chosen.
to be ordered with high quality
Local market avilable sections to be chosen for project
Use of Birla Putty instead of POP

Birla wall putty instead of polyplaster

Interval between first and final coat should be as minimum as possible
Texture paint
Partition walls should be changed before slab casting
to be selection in commonly use & avilable in more than 3/4 places.
Always locate the DB box in dry wall & wall should be 9" th.
Proper location of vertical pipes avoiding the windows & fascia and making the merging of pipes possible
Always put pipe lines through wall section.
Avoid S- Stap commode in First Floor & 2nd floor toilets
due to lack of skilled manpower.
due to low quality material( wall thiness of material is very thin), so quality of material to be selected & procured
No use of insulation
Avoid -ve slope towards buiding from road in design.
Due to lack of skilled manpower, & negligence( if heating plate tempreture is less, not good joinning betn pipes, if plate
is too much heated, joining pipes melts more & it obstructs the inside passage of flow & creats unnessary pressure &
affect in CP nipple & weak joints too.
Timely delivery and Proper checking of structural drawing by architect
Skilled manpower should be discouraged to go abroad (eg. through CE Overseas).
