PIPESYS for HYSYS version 2015.1 Release Notes

1 INTRODUCTION
The PIPESYS Extension for HYSYS allows users to model multiphase flow through the production system
upstream of the processing facilities as well as transportation pipelines downstream. PIPESYS was
designed to be used entirely within the familiar environment of the process simulator, with seamless
integration to enable quick yet powerful analysis.

2 INSTALLATION KIT
The PIPESYS for HYSYS Installation Kit (available for download on the Schlumberger Support Portal)
contains the main PIPESIM programs and documentation:

3 UPDATES TO PIPESYS VERSION 2015.1

The main update for PIPESYS is the introduction of the FlexLM licensing option. PIPESYS security uses
either a physical security device connected to the local or network server computer, or software based
security commonly referred to as FlexLM. It is important to note that the CD image PIPESYS
installation packages for these two options are different, so the correct one must be used for the
intended licensing scheme. All new PIPESYS leases should use the FlexLM option as the legacy dongle
security is being phased out. Please refer to the PIPESYS for HYSYS Installation Guide for FLEXLM for
details on configuring licenses.
The release naming convention has been updated for consistency with other Schlumberger software
products.
A few minor defects have been resolved with this release.
Additionally, the User Guide has been rewritten and may be opened by selecting the Help Button on the
About tab.
