FITHEACH AGGLOMERATE
Becciated agglomerate. Matrix aphanitic - ne grained, mac in
composition. Clast percentage ranges 15-55%. Clast size ranges
<1mm-20cm. Clasts composition predominately dolerite and carbonate,
but basalt and sedimentary clasts also present. Limited evidence for bedding
shows multiple ows, owing downhill away from Beinn Dearg Bheag in a
general southernly direction. The formation is a result of the British Tertiary
Igneous Province.
