Sec. 6 Establishment,
Mandate and Functions
NAP public archives shall be stored,
preserved, conserved and made available
to the public. Attached to the NCCA for
budgetary purposes.

Who shall head NAP? The Executive Director
and Deputy Directors shall be a holder of
Masters Degree in History, Political Science,
Public Administration/ Government
Management, Library Science, Information
Management or similar fields of study (Rule 11,
Art 16 of IRR)
Support for all Government Archives in LGUs
and other agencies including regional archives,
records centers and agency records center?
Employing and Deploying Records Managers
and Archivists?

IRR
Approved last January 24, 2008.
IRR shall cover all public records with archival
value, held by either government offices or
private collections with archival value, and shall
also cover archival and records management
programs and activities in all branches of
government, whether national or local,
constitutional offices, GOCCs, GFIs, S/LUCs,
Philippine Embassies, consulates and other
Philippine offices abroad.
