1.0 - Introduction:
Ishfaq Engineering Company is the manufacturer of motorcycle parts, it is specialized in brake
shoes manufacturing, and it was established in 1992. With the help of experienced production
staff, include experienced engineers, and automatic machines, his organization is providing
quality products into market (Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and KPK etc.), thats why mechanics
use and suggest their items to others.

1.1 - Products:
Ishfaq Engineering Company has much kind of brands and products, and the process of
introducing new products is on and on and new products are coming every year, some current
brands of this organization are as down.

1.4 - Plant and Machinery:

This organization has three (03) factories according to the process of production to sales. In two
factories two are for production and one is for store finish goods items. This organization if using
automatic die casting, grinding and other relevant machines for the production of their products

The customers of this organization are about in all over the Pakistan.

This organization also has agents who sales their goods in markets. Main agents are their
salesman who sales their goods in Punjab, KPK, Baluchistan and Sindh. But there is a main
trader with this organization which is NA Traders McLeod Road, Lahore. This trader is a part
of this organization.

2.0 - Analytical part:

2.1 - Productivity Analyses:


Productivity analyses means a measure of the effective use of resources, usually expressed as the
ratio of output to input.
Productivity ratios are used for
Planning workforce requirements
Scheduling equipment
Financial analysis

The productivity analyses for this organization are as down which is for the year of 2015. In this
year products sold 1539011 with the average rate of 102, and the input is for the complete year is
38456943.
Inputs in detail are as down,

With the help of material,
Productivity = Output / Input (Material)
Productivity = 1539011*102 / 5681139
Productivity = 156979122 / 5681139

With the help of labor,

Productivity = 1539011*102 / 10925268
Productivity = 156979122 / 10925268
Productivity = 14.36

With the help of FOH,


Productivity = Output / Input (FOH)
Productivity = 1539011*102 / 21850536
Productivity = 156979122 / 21850536
Productivity = 7.18
Our Opinion:
1st of all our opinion is for labor that the cost for labor is high, because in all day labor do work
according to the given instructions of Production manager, in this process electricity consume
and in a day many time we face the load shading, then we take help with the generator to
continue their production operations. Obviously the generator is a way to increase the production
cost and ultimately this cost will effect on price of a product.
Our opinion is, that they must start their night shift by switching their day shift into night shift
because in night load shading is not there.

Productivity (Total Measure) = 1539011 * 102 / 48456943
Productivity (Total Measure) = 156979122 / 48456943
Productivity (Total Measure) = 3.23
Our Opinion:
Our opinion is for labor as we discussed that the cost for labor is high, because in all day labor
do work according to the given instructions of Production manager, in this process electricity
consume and in a day many time we face the load shading, then we take help with the generator
to continue their production operations. Obviously the generator is a way to increase the
production cost and ultimately this cost will effect on price of a product.

3.0 Competitive Strategy:

Competitiveness strategy means that how effectively and organization meets the wants and needs
of customers relative to others that offer similar goods or services.

3.1 - Product and service design:


In this process, the organization is introducing new products according to the need and
satisfaction of their customers, like low rate and product availability at any place near to the
customer. For this purpose, their sales staff is selling products at all small and big shops.
3.2 Cost:
Their products have different rates according to the quality of the products. They are doing work
to provide their products at low price to their customers who cant afford high price.
3.3 Location:
They are selling their products at different places for the purpose of availability of product to
their customer at nearest place. For this purpose their sales staff is selling goods at every small to
big shop.
3.4 Quality:
Their focus is on quality products, which should be a good satisfaction to their customers. They
have planned to produce durable products for their customers.
3.5 - Quick response:

This organization is providing claim and other schemes for their customers for the purpose of
quick response. This facility is providing their sales staff any time.

customer demand.

Forecasting Techniques:
In Ishfaq Engineering, which forecasting technique is used is, Nave Forecasting. This
forecasting technique used with the help of previous records that how much quantity have to
produce for next year to meet the forecasted sales.
Our Opinion:
Our opinion for this organization is, that this organization has to achieve their goals, and this is
possible if they compete their sales on time, this will be possible on that time when they will be
able to know that what will be the demand for our product and when? For this purpose the have
to start the forecasting technique, this technique will help them forecast their demand and
ultimately thy will produce their products on time.
