Using WorldClassRoom (WCR)


Accessing the Course
You are strongly encouraged to use Google Chrome or Firefox internet browsers to
access the course.

Bookmark https://worldclassroom.webster.edu/login on your internet browser. This is the


portal for the WCR online platform. Through this link you will: access course information;
review course assignments and grades; and interact with your instructor.

Use your Connections login information to access WCR. If at any time you are unable to
access WCR, or dont see this class listed in Courses & Groups, contact the Webster
Help Desk at: +1-314-246-5995 or toll-free at +1-866-435-7270.

Helpful Reminders as You Begin WSBT 5000 Career Success for the 21st Century
Each week begins on Sunday at 12:01am Central time and closes the following Sunday at
11:59pm Central time.

Carefully read the Course Overview available in Module 1. This will provide a lot of helpful
information.

Do not procrastinate! The first week of the course has FIRM DEADLINES that must be met
to avoid being dropped from the course. Additionally, the final assignment requires 48
hours notice to RightManagement and therefore cant be done at the last minute.

You are encouraged to use the Discussion Forums for general questions or comments
regarding the course.

For personal questions about assignments or the course, contact your instructor via
email in WCR.

Navigating the Course in WorldClassRoom


WSBT 5000 Career Success for the 21st Century is designed as an online course which references
the RightCareer portal. No textbook will be needed for this class. You will log in to WCR to access
the course. Various assignments within WCR will refer you to the RightCareer portal for reference
and to complete required activities, much like you would reference a textbook. Once completed on
the RightCareer portal, you will save these activities to your computer and load them into the
appropriate assignment in WCR.
Note: You may see both RightManagement and RightCareer mentioned. For clarification,
RightManagement is the company that manages many sites including RightCareer. For
this course you will be accessing RightCareer to view information and complete activities.

Using the RightCareer Portal to its fullest
To complete the required assignments for the course, you will have to access and complete
activities on the RightCareer portal.

If you have issues logging in or using the
RightCareer portal, contact RightManagment

Within the RightCareer portal, you will have
limited access to the RightManagement
proprietary assessments and information.
Devote some quiet time to review the
information, view the videos and reflect on the
activities.
If you are in a career transition or dont fully
know what you want to do, you may need to
devote more time to reflection or view the
additional materials that are available on the
RightCareer portal in the Document Library.
Keep a log of questions as you progress
through the activities to help you make the
most of your 30 minute coaching session at the
end of the course.
Keep in mind that you will gain full access to all of the materials and resources available
through RightCareer after you successfully complete the course.

Never taken an online class before?
Online courses are a little different than taking classes on ground; however, they are easy to
navigate with a little pre-planning and practice. If at any time you need assistance with your

You should have received an email invitation to participate in an Introduction to Webster Online
Webinar, hosted by the Online Learning Center. If you were unable to join the webinar, it would
be helpful to view the Online Course Tour videos to become acquainted with WorldClassRoom.
All first-time WorldClassRoom users have access to the Online Student Training Course in WCR.
The Training Course is your opportunity to get hands-on practice in the online learning
environment in a no-stakes, no-pressure environment.
Helpful hints as you start your online class.
Set up or adjust your WorldClassRoom notifications.
Understand Webster University's expectations of you as a student in an online course, and of the
instructor teaching your online course.
Set a schedule for yourself this will help you stay on track with coursework.
Log in to your online course on the Friday prior to the first day of the term.
Carefully review the Syllabus, Welcome and Week 1 modules for your online course.
Make note of drop and withdrawal deadlines.
