Rules and Consequences

Because Technology and Engineering modules require computers and equipment
there are many opportunities for this equipment to be misused. The rules of my
class are very important if the student wants to continue working in the modules.
The following rules will be enforced in my class so that all students will be able to
have a good experience.
Rules:
1. Students will be required to work with their lab partner for the entire 7 day
rotation, no requests for switching. Students will need to inform me if there
are problems of a serious nature between partners.
2. Students will treat all equipment with respect, using it as instructed.
3. Students will be required to stay in their work areas during the class. If a
student needs to leave their area beyond the computerized instructions they
will need to get permission (ex. Drink, bathroom break etc.)
4. There is no talking allowed with other partnerships in other modules.
5. Headphones will be worn during instruction even if you are reading from the
screen.
6. All safety devices will remain on machines and safety glasses will be worn
when required.
7. Students will show respect to their lab partner and teacher.
Consequences:
Any student not following the rules of the class will be subject to the following steps:
1. Verbal warning(s)-Students will be reminded of class rule.
2. Book work-If the verbal reminder doesnt work students will lose the privilege
of working in the modules until the assigned book assignment has been
completed.
3. If the student commits to following the rules they will be allowed back in the
module.
4. Continued disregard for the rules will lose all privileges for module work.
5. Serious offenses, intentionally breaking equipment, harassment of lab
partner, disrespect to teacher etc., will require a phone call to parents and
possibly administrative interaction in order to earn back module privilages.
