Control of National Board Numbers.

17.1. General.
17.1.1. When National Board Registration is required by the Customer or jurisdiction of
installation Code Items, the QAM shall assign sequential National Board numbers
beginning with No.1 and continuing without skips or gaps of unused numbers or
duplication, after completion and acceptance of the hydrostatic or pneumatic test by the
AI. When not tested at the shop, the National Board serial number shall be issued at the
time of Manufacturers (Partial) data report signing.
17.1.2. QAM shall document and control the National Board Numbers assigned, in the
National Board Numbers Registration Log (Exhibit 14), including NB number, data NB
number issued, Manufacturers serial number, type of Code Item, customer or location
of installation.
17.1.3. QAM shall send to the NBBI one original of Manufacturers Data Report or
Manufacturers Partial Data Report, to the National Board when Registration is required,
within 30 days after being signed by the AI.
17.1.4. A copy of the Manufacturers Data Reports shall be furnished to the user or his
designated agent and upon request to the AI and to the Jurisdiction at the site of
installation.
17.1.5. Manufacturers Partial Data Reports shall be furnished to the Customer in duplicate
copies when the Company is the manufacturer of the Part.
