RESUME
Reporting a patient, female, 17 years old, referred from orthopedic
outpatient clinic with fracture avulsion ACL post pullthrough. The chief
complaint was lutut kanan terasa kaku . She got a motor accident at June
6th 2014. The mode of injury was falling down from her motorcycle in side
lying position with her right knee bumped into the road in straight position.
She was immediately taken to the emergency room and diagnosed with
fracture avulsion anterior cruciatum ligament dekstra. She underwent a
surgery with pullthrough technique for the right knee at July 14th 2014. Pre
and post period of surgery, she did not get any treatment from PMR and also
did not move her right knee because she was afraid.
On her first visit to PMR outpatient clinic, there was found limitation
ROM knee dekstra, atrofi quadriceps dekstra, oedem knee dekstra and
weakness hip dekstra. She ambulated with wheelchair. She could not go to
school and do her social activities.
After 6 months therapy in PMR outpatient clinic using modalities
( NMES, USD, biofeedback ), therapeutic exercises and home exercise
programs, the ROM and strength of the right knee increase. However, the
poor compliance to do the home exercise programs and the abnormal callus
formation at the site of the fracture seem to be the factors that inhibit the post
operation condition to be back as the normal condition. Anyway, now she can
go back to school and do her social activities. We keep educating and

encouraging the patient to do the exercise properly to keep improving her

condition as possible as could be.
