Responsibilities: development, training and problem resolution.
·                 Liaising with developers and engineers from
Leica Geosystems to ensure issues are dealt with
accordingly.
·                 Training and supporting operators of truck,
excavation, dozing and grading equipment on how to use
the Leica FMS.
·                 Troubleshooting hardware and software
problems relating to the Leica FMS.
·                 High Precision GPS troubleshooting on
excavation and dozing equipment.
·                 Documentation of the FMS system and
development of manual and procedural documents for site
wide usage.
·                 Hardware and software problem solving relating
to the mines local Windows network where the BHP
administrators can’t get access physically.
Achievements: End of Month Reporting: The task of reporting on critical mine
data has been made easier on site by the use of an excel
spreadsheet which extracts information from an SQL
database containing FMS data. Thereby lessening the amount
of time needed to create the critical reports.

ensure contractually defined dates are met.

management regarding the project.
·                 Controlled the configuration and deployment of
servers (Windows or Linux), coordinated the installation of
hardware and it’s ongoing support with hardware vendors
or onsite maintenance.
·                 Controlled and coordinated other resources
from Leica deployed to assist in the project, in relation to
their time and tasks.
·                 Worked with the site to ensure project
deliverables were met in a timely manner and
communicated any problems which arose in delivering
those items.
Achievements: Worsley, WA - managed deployment of the project in it’s
entirety; Relatively small bauxite mine moving from paper and
pencil shift management to a complete fleet management
system for the whole mine. Encompassing shift and load
management for contractor based equipment as well as
Worsley owned and operated equipment

envelops an AP3-C Flight simulator. This is a very
restricted and mission critical environment that requires
quick thinking, and absolute discretion.

regime.
·       Installation and maintenance of SAMBA domain
controllers between multiple operating systems.
·     Technical investigations into defence operational
equipment. This includes both the technical appraisals,
and the report writing standards commiserate with very
regimental and professional standards.

(South Australian Government Electronic Messaging
Service) Project is a State Government project which
manages and administers the mailboxes, incoming and
outgoing email and DNS for each and every government
department within South Australia.
·       Lyell McEwin Hospital PES - The PES (Patient
Entertainment System) Project is a Telstra project and a
first for the country in which patient services are provided
via a highly developed network and software which
delivers Foxtel, TV, Internet, phone calls and patient
information through a single point.
·       Electranet OPSWAN - Electranet provide the power
lines, substations and support ETSA in providing power to
all of South Australia. OPSWAN’s goal was to connect all
of the substations via a new internal switched network.
·        Tenix Defence AP-3C ITTF – The ITTF project
provides ongoing training for flight squadrons within the
RAAF who fly in the AP-3C Orion aircraft. Providing back-
end simulation of the aircraft for each crew.

alleviate the organisational problems in booking leave

·      The rebuilding and configuration of a hacked web
server in the space of several hours and the analysis of the
hacked server to determine the entry point of the hacker.
