Family Feedback:
Sometimes things get too much for my 13 yr old son and there's been
occasions recently where we have had to collect him from school as he
wasn't coping. We've been lucky enough to whisk him away from it all to a
Scottys Lodge or Center Parcs and to watch him visibly relax and smile is
indescribable. To be able to go away as a family with my other children and
new partner helps so so much as he knows we are all there to support him
and reinforce that he is not alone . Can't thank Scottys enough.
The assistance provided by Scottys Little Soldiers is available to any child or young person up to and including the age of 18 years who has suffered the loss of a parent
serving in the British Armed Forces (or medically discharged prior to their death). The parents cause of death, marital and financial status are not criteria used by the
charity during the application process and the childs parent may have been serving in the Regular or Reserve Forces.
