NTM Remote Viewer System Requirements


Table 1 and Table 2 list the minimum system requirements for the NTM Remote Viewer.

Preparing to Install NTM Remote Viewer


Before installing NTM Remote Viewer, ensure that:

The target system meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements.

You have the installation files.

For software upgrade: If you have an earlier version of NTM Remote Viewer installed, it will
be automatically uninstalled before installing the new version. If NTM Remote Viewer is running,
close the program before attempting to do the upgrade. A series of dialog boxes will guide you
through the uninstallation of the old version.

Installing NTM Remote Viewer


Follow the instructions below for installing NTM Remote Viewer on Windows XP, Windows Vista,
or 32-bit Windows 7.
1. Insert the NTM Remote Viewer product CD into the target PCs CD-ROM drive.
2. If the InstallShield Wizard does not launch automatically (or if you have downloaded the
software) navigate to the location of the install program SetupNTMViewer.exe and run it
from there.
3. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may see the User Account Control dialog box.
If so, click Allow.
4. If there is no earlier version of NTM Remote Viewer on your computer, skip this step. If there
is an earlier version of NTM Remote Viewer on your computer, a dialog box will point this
out and ask you to confirm that you want to remove it. Click Yes. When the uninstallation is
finished, a dialog box will invite you to restart your computer. Click OK. Your computer will
restart and installation of the new software will continue.
5. Follow the instructions in the InstallShield Wizard to install the NTM Remote Viewer
software. During the installation:
a. Accept the terms of the End User Software License Agreement.
b. Enter your Customer Information.
c. Specify the installation directory for the NTM Remote Viewer software.
NOTE: Fluke Networks recommends that you accept the default installation directory.
6. Verify that the installation settings are correct. Click Install.
7. When the installation has completed, click Finish to exit the NTM Remote Viewer
installation.

Uninstalling NTM Remote Viewer


NOTE: If you are doing an upgrade, you dont have to do this uninstall first. The upgrade
installation program will do that for you automatically.
To uninstall NTM Remote Viewer:
1. Select Start > All Programs > Fluke Networks > NTM Remote Viewer > Uninstall
Network Time Machine Remote Viewer.
2. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may see the User Account Control dialog box.
If so, click Allow.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall NTM Remote Viewer.
