The Ice cream Social

Today is the ice cream social. What flavor did
you get? Vanilla? Chocolate? Or Strawberry?
How was it? Bad? Okay? Good?
Last session, at the ice cream social, the staff
band played a lot of songs. I wonder if theyll
play What Does the Fox Say this time.
You have to go with a buddy. First, you have
to create a secret handshake. Second, you
have to go through an obstacle course or paint
a picture together, and Sally drew a smiley
face on your hand.
I went with my friend Ciaran. The three things
we had in common were we like soccer, we
like the color red, and we both got chocolate
ice cream with whipped cream.

If youre craving something big for dessert, size and/or money head to
these places to get your fix:
- Pizza Hut for their new 8 inch cookie. It is broken up into eight slices
and it looks like the shape of a pizza.
- In New York City at Serendipity3 you can order a $1000 ice cream
sundae. Although it isnt big in size, its big in money and flavor. Not
only is it served with solid gold spoon, but it also uses the worlds rarest
chocolate and is covered in 23 karat gold leaf.
- In Tokyo, another expensive dessert is emerging. A huge dark chocolate
cake in the shape of Africa, covered in 2,000 (yes, 2,000) diamonds. It
costs 5 million dollars and tastes like that too.
- If you like something more exotic, try Twins Ice Cream Sundae. It
costs $60,000 dollars and there is a reason for that. It uses glacial ice
from Kilimanjaro. Since global warming is becoming so prominent, the
price for this ice cream keeps going up and up. And with the price you
also get a guided tour in Tanzania!

Hamster PSA

Modern History: The Pilgrims

As most of you know, the pilgrims went to America for gold.
When they arrived, they arrived in Plymouth, but they thought they
were in Virginia. Thats because their GPS on their iPhones didnt
have very good reception in the middle of the ocean. So they didnt
find any gold, but they did find a new food growing on trees: Cheetos.
So they cut down all the Cheetos trees, but the Native Americans didnt
care because they had Doritos, which are way better than Cheetos. But
then Capt. John Smith found their secret stash of Doritos and stole all
of them. Thats what started the war. Actually, it wasnt a war, it was
a food fight. The pilgrims had Doritos and Cheetos, but the Native
Americans had something much more valuable: Goldfish. When the
Native Americans threw Goldfish at them, they thought they were real
goldfish so they ran away. Or they pretended to run away. They faked
the whole thing and just hid behind a tree. While the Native Americans
were picking up all the food, some guy ran out and kicked one of the
Native Americans right in the butt. It hurt him a lot so he cried and
everyone started crying because crying is contagious. The end.

Ask the 10th doctor

you are! You rock! So, I streamlined the question
to the 10th doctor, (Who is currently going by the
name John Tyler in his alternate universe) and he
replied immediately! Here it is;

A. Im the Doctor! Im from the planet Gallifrey,
I like bananas, and Im a Time Lord! Well, now I
guess Im on half Time Lord, half human. So no
more regenerating, no more flying around in the
TARDIS, No more traveling back and forward in
time. Im strangely enjoying settling down a bit.
Oh, and I know a few of you are askingI am
happily married to Rose. Jackies son, Tony, is
growing up nicely. He has Roses eyes. Is that a
good answer to your question? Okay! Allons-y!
You heard it from him. PLEASE give me more
questions! He likes answering them! He also told

Disney World

I have been to quite a few places. Probably my favorite
vacation place I have been to is Disney World. I go every year
and its always a blast. One of my favorite rides is the Thunder
Mountain Railroad because its fun, but not too scary. I also love
test track because before you get on you get to design a car. (Not
for real) and also the theme is just super fun and the ride is also
just the right amount of scariness. Splash Mountain is REALLY
scary. (I havent been on it for a couple of years so maybe I was
just too young) Its fun and the theme of the ride is awesome,
but the drop of the ride was really steep. I definitely dont like
that ride. Aside from the rides, Disney world is also awesome
for many other reasons. There are 4 amusement parks. Epcot,
magic kingdom, animal kingdom, and Hollywood studios. Epcot
is amazing because it has a bunch of different country themed
parts to the park. For example there is: France, Morocco, Italy
and much more. This helps you discover what those countries
are actually like. Magic Kingdom is probably the most famous
park. I think Magic Kingdom is the best place to meet characters.
Also the rides are great. Magic Kingdom is my favorite park. I
have never been to Hollywood studios, but I have head Tower of
Terror is pretty awesome. Animal Kingdom is really nice and I
love the water rides there. I really love Disney world and I think
that it is the perfect vacation destination.

Wheres Walter? (Part 1)

Once upon a yesterday I realized
something. Where was Walter?
Okaylet me back up a bit, my name is
Maggie and I go to a camp called ASCTCRCAP
or: A Similar Camp To Charles River Creative
Arts Program. At said camp I write for our camp
newspaperThe Daily Twice (TDT). Said
newspaper has an editor, his name is Walter, and
he puts all of the Daily Twices writers writing
together! Along with tons of drawing and other
cool stuff, that is. If you havent figured it out
by now, Walter is missing. Now, you may be
wondering how I know this (because nobody
actually sees him) and its like this: Walter thinks
hes pretty coolhe likes to put little editors
notes under articles in the Daily Twice (sort of
like a dog peeing on a tree to mark its territory)
and the editors notes have disappeared. Of course
the Daily Twice is still coming out, but without the
editors notes! So I figured I should tell youyou
know if you see Walterand I guess well see
what happens.

Book Recommendations

Circle of Secrets. This book is a ghost story about a girl
named Shelby who gets sent to live with the mother that left
her and her father when she was young. After getting tossed
around by a group of kids at her school, she runs away to a
local cemetery and meets gwen, a beautiful girl that is hiding
something. Shelby later finds bottles with messages inside them,
and she is determined to find out who wrote them. Written by
Kimberly Griffiths little, she is easily my favorite author by far.
When the Butterflies Came. Also a book by Kimberly
Griffiths Little, this story follows the tale of the girl that bullied
Shelby at school, Tara. This takes place in summer after the
funeral of her grandma. A butterfly flies into her room and Tara
can hear it make beautiful harmonies. She later finds notes from
her grandmother that lead her to the island her grandma worked
in. A page turning book that will have you thinking twice about
her role in Circle of Secrets.
The Amulet Series. This book is about a girl named
Emily. Her, her mom, and her younger brother move into the
house of their great grandfather and discover some strange
things. Emily finds an amulet in the basement that appears to be
magical. There is an elf king that wants the power of the amulet.
Being the geek I am I LOVED this graphic novel. I believe there
are 7 books in the series and so far I have read 3 of them. Theyre
quick reads so I hope you check them out or maybe one of the
other books I listed.

The History of: Picture Frames

Hi hi hi hi hi hi hi! If you are a girl

with her locker in the activity center then this
is the contest for you! Basically, write a haiku
(one line has five syllables, then seven syllables,
then five again), then put you name, your locker
number, and you favorite color on the page, too.
If you dislike a certain pattern, add that bag
or pillow! It does not have to be typed but use
good handwriting! Here is an example with a
made up person:

Billy Bob Johnson was walking down the street one day
when he saw a lone Cheeto Puff crying on the street. When he
asked the Cheeto Puff what was wrong he was mugged by a ragtag group of Powerpuff girls. They took him to their evil secret
lair in the most evil part of the world, Kentucky. They told him
that he had better tell them all about the American Revolution
or else things were going to get sparkly. In immense terror, Billy
accidently told them all about the Spanish Revolution and was
thrown on to a deserted island with nothing but a fully operational
helicopter with a broken AC. Billy immediately realized that
his best way of escaping was to swim to Finland. Once he got
there he tried to communicate with people but realized they
were not people but squidwards. He ran away crying because
he had a deep emotional fear of Squidward. When he got back
home, he realized he needed to get photographic evidence of
the squidwards and the cheeto puff (He had forgotten about
the Powerpuff girls by then.) He then realized he would have
nothing to protect his pictures from grape juice so he created
picture frames to do this task and brush his teeth. Truly he was
a very invisible man.

The Inside Scoop of the Daily Double

Hi. I dont think we have met properly. My name is
Claudia Schmidt, but you probably already know that because
it says my name right above this. I know it is kind of weird that
I am writing an article about the Daily Double inside the Daily
Double, but I think everyone should know what really happens in
the upstairs room in the Old Building. Lots of people think that
it is a class with kids typing on computers rapidly while others
hand write articles and draw pictures, but thats just what they
want you to think. I am writing this article to tell you the truth.
For example, you know how everyone gets writers block? Well,
when someone in Daily Double need an idea on what to write
about, this is what happens. They have to go to a secret room
above to Daily Double room where an alien lives. The alien then
shoots out an idea out of his stomach cannon and that is what you
write about. If you think that is weird, then you should here this.
When a camper wants to save an article it has to go through five
robots brains through an extra electric cord into the computer.

Butter Recipe

What do you think about music?????

Well I think its great, I like Micheal Jackson, Kelly
clarckson, and all of you!
But sometimes singers can be annoying, Of course not
you though!!!!!
Justin Bieber is one of my worst favorite singers.
Maybe be you like him maybe not
But a lot of people and friends say they agree with me
and think he sounds like a girl. He doesnt sound much
of a girl now but when he was younger he sounded
Like a girl. I never really liked him anyway.
I used to like Katy Perry a lot I still but not as much. I
hate the song she made called
Dark Horse I like the song but they play it way too
much on the radio.
Also timber can be annoying. Im glad cracp isnt a bad
camp with bad singer its the exact
Opposite!!!
(I know its kind of weird I put opposite is in big bold
letters)

You will need:

2 cups heavy cream and teaspoon salt
First pour the cream into a blender. Process for ten minutes,
or until the butter separates. Strain off the liquid. If you want
salted butter then put the salt in. Press the butter in a small
bowl with the back of a big spoon to remove more liquid.
Enjoy your butter!
Note: you can also make butter with a butter churn

How To Eat A Banana

Hi! Today Im going to tell you how to eat a
banana. The first thing you are going to want to do is
find a good banana. A good banana should be mostly
brightish yellow. A couple brown spots are okay. A tiny
bit of green is also okay. Once you get a banana, use
a knife to cut that little stem thing at the top, but not
all the way. Then pull on that to peel the banana, but
dont peel it all the way, instead peel it a bit at a time
while you eat. Peel the rest of the banana by repeating
the steps above. Next, take a bite. Peel it some more.
Take another bite. Peel it a bit more. Repeat these steps
until you finish eating it. When you are done eating the
banana, dont throw the peel in the trash. Instead, walk
down the sidewalk and toss the peel over your shoulder.
Make sure the yellow part of the peel is facing up. If
you want to you can hide somewhere where you can
see the banana and watch until someone slips on it.

The Wackiest Restaurants in America

Ever want a place to eat thats exciting? Well try these wacky
restaurants from around America.
- The Cave: located in Missouri. And- you guessed it- its
located in a cave. Its Americas only cave restaurant that
boasts amazing American and Italian food.
- Dinner in the Sky: Want to eat dinner suspended more than
160 feet into the air? Then rent this wacky crane that you
can have brought to almost anywhere with enough room,
and then eat dinner with a view. The platform hosts 22 lucky
guests and three waiters. And you can eat any kind of food
you want because you get to choose!
- Opaque: If dining in the sky wasnt enough excitement for
you, eat at Opaque. It has three locations in California. You
order your food in a lit room, and then get led into a pitch
black room to eat it.
- Forbes Island: Located in San Francisco, this restaurant
features underwater dining where you can see lots of sea lions
around you in the water. Talk about a dining experience!!!
