Flash2Cmd SCSIFLASH-2 ETHERNET VERSION


USER INSTRUCTIONS

This document describes the commands & syntax for the Flash2Cmd application.
Flash2Cmd is a command line application. The available commands can be seen by
typing Flash2Cmd.
The output is as shown below.

The backup command screen is as shown below.

This command takes the drive off line, creates the backup and leaves the drive off
line. To backup and place the drive back on line on completion the flag --go-online
must be appended to the command line Flash2cmd.

To restore a backup to the drive the restore command is used.

To restore and place the drive back on line on completion the flag --go-online must be
appended to the command line Flash2cmd.

The GetStatus command returns the current drive status.

The WriteProtectOn command turns on write protect for the drive.

A write protected drive cannot be restored.

The WriteProtectOff command removes the write protection.

The SetOnLine & SetOffLine Command puts the drive on line to the SCSI bus
or takes it off line.

Note that SetOffLine is a request to take the drive off line. The drive will not go off
line immediately but will go off line 10 seconds after the last SCSI read or write
or 10 seconds after a power-up. GetStatus command should be used to check when
the command has completed.

The GetCapacity Command returns the drive size.

The GetVersion Command returns the firmware version of the drive.

The EraseCard command erases the whole of the Compact Flash Card.
To determine when the erase is complete the GetStatus command must be used. While
the erase is in progress the green LED near the card slot flashes.

The EraseCapacity command erases the Compact Flash card up to the capacity
of the drive, not necessarily the whole of the card.
Therefore it is quicker than the EraseCard command. To determine when the erase is
complete the GetStatus command must be used. While the erase is in progress the
green LED near the card slot flashes.
