Abstract
Now a day in India here is automation in every field even in agriculture also. Appropriate ambient conditions are necessary for
optimum plant growth, improved crop yields, and efficient use of water and other resources. Automating the data acquisition
process of the soil conditions and various climatic parameters that govern plant growth allows information to be collected at high
frequency with less labor requirement with the help of robot with high quality camera for leaf diseases detection using line
follower image algorithm. Different types of sensors are used such as LM 35, humidity, soil fidelity and Light sensors for
controlling and monitoring plant house. The Robot camera detects an image is in the form of JPEG, sends to ARM controller by
using Zigbee Transmission theory in an long distance away from plants for plant health detection automatically and controlling
action is done such as to control the motor drive by the SPDT relays also.

I. INTRODUCTION
The objective of this project is to design a simple, ARM-based circuit to monitor and record the values of temperature,
humidity, soil moisture and sunlight of the natural environment that are not stable means varies continuously and controlled in
order optimize them to achieve maximum plant growth and yield. The controller used is a low power, manufactured by ARM.
It communicates with the various sensor modules in real-time in order to control the light, aeration and drainage process
efficiently inside a greenhouse by actuating a fan, fogger, dripper and lights respectively according to the necessary condition
of the crops. An integrated device LCD is also used for real time display of data acquired from the various sensors and the
status of the various devices. The objective of a polyhouse is to create the optimal growing conditions for the full lifecycle of the
plants. The robot provides watering mechanism it will provide water to the plants according to their necessity by observing soil
moisture and humidity. It also detects the plant health with disease detection and provides the necessary pesticide according to
the type of diseases.

In this project we are designing the polyhouse autonomous Robot camera which will sense the conditions in real time. For this,
we are monitoring the field parameters such as temperature, humidity, soil moisture etc. The Robot camera will have watering
mechanism and is a completely autonomous robot. The main characteristic of the Robot having the ability to sense the health of
plants using Image processing. This also helps to detect and identify plants and then to find accurate and stable navigation
information from the sensor output. The captured image by JPEG serial camera is then sent to PC by ARM controller which is
then processed by using image processing technique. If moisture level is low then motor will start and plant is watered through
pump. In both ARM, c language coding is used. According to this coding the robot which is connected to control. Robot which
has several motors is activated by using the motor driver.
A. Zig-bee Module
Zigbee module is low cost, low power wireless mesh networking standard. This module is in line with industry standard
application wireless communication module.
B. IR Sensor
The IR sensor use to detect the obstacles IR is invisible radiant energy with longer wavelength infrared energy is emitted or
absorbed by molecule when they change their rotational-vibrational movement.
C. LM35
National Semiconductors LM35 IC has been used to measure the temperature. The temperature can be measured more
accurately with it than using a thermistor.
D. Humidity Sensor Module
The humidity sensor manufactured by Honeywell is used for sensing the humidity. It delivers instrumentation quality RH
(Relative Humidity) measuring performance in a low cost. Relative humidity is in percentage of the moisture in the air
compared to the total amount of moisture that could be held in the air at a given temperature.
E. Soil Moisture Detection Module
This is a simple and easy moisture sensor which is used for the detection of soil moisture. The output of module is at high level,
hence soil moisture is detected. Using this sensor it provides the watering mechanism automatically when required to the plants
or crops in the poly house. Due to this the continuous requirement of labour are diminish.
F. Light Sensor
Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) also known as photoconductor or photocell, is a device which has a resistance which varies
according to the amount of light falling on its surface.

III. PLANT HEALTH DETECTION AND INDICATION

In this project first capture the image of plant by the camera the photo as shown in below fig.4

Capture image send to the controller then process on that and find the number of spot on leaf. In software according to
incoming data it display on monitor screen as shown in fig.5

IV. CONCLUSION
Because of the image processing on plant health detection and identify the disease of leaf with find the number of spot on leaf.
With this technique we can increase the crop production with less power and save water. This is done using Matlab software. So
this project is very useful for farmer for increase the crop production using sensing and image processing technique.
