What is the SiX Contact?


The SiX Contact is a two
way radio Door/Window
contact, designed to be fully
compatible with the Lyric
smart controller system.

These switches report
independently to the
control panel

Magnetic Contact
Single reed switch on one
side of the PCB that can
be used with the presence
of a magnet.

that provides an
unsupervised loop input.

Heartbeat LED
Provides two functions
Flashes during
enrollment
Flashes when the
cover is removed.

Antenna
Device has 2 planar F
type antennas (PIFA) that
operate independently to
improve the overall
antenna pattern of the
sensor

Temperature sensor
Device will sample the air
temperature every 20
minutes and updates are
provided to the control
panel when there is a
change from the previous
reading.

Installation
Step One:
Push back to disengage
the bottom latch of the
mounting bracket, then
pull the bracket out and
down to remove.

Step Two:
Firmly slide the top and
bottom housings in
opposite directions and
pull them apart to open
the device

Note: Before mounting the SiX Contact permanently, conduct the


Go/No Go test to verify adequate signal strength.

Enroll and Set Up


Steps Required
Set the Lyric smart
controller in
Programming Mode,
then select Zone
programming
Locate and select the
zone to be
programmed, then
select Edit or Add
New

Steps Required
Select the Serial
Number field to capture
the SiX device Mac
ID.
Pull the battery tab to
activate the SiX
Contact and begin the
enrollment process.

Steps Required
The LED flashes during
enrollment (about 8
seconds)
The device sends the
device MAC ID
address and services
information to the
control
The control registers
the device and
displays the
transmitter data on
the screen.

Steps Required
When done, the LED is
on for 3 seconds to
confirm enrollment.

Steps Required
If the device is not
successfully enrolled
during this period, the
LED turns off and the
device powers down.
Activate a tamper, reed
switch, or external contact
loop to restart the
enrollment process.

Slide the front and back
housings in opposite
direction and pull apart to
remove the top cover
Remove and replace the
battery
