The instant project is completed in a record


period of three months from the date of
approval. Quality Sports equipments have been
purchased and supplied by the contractor. It is
for the first time that 100% of these
equipments are being distributed among the
actual players.
The distribution already
completed.
This is the first time in the history of Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa that such a huge budget is
exclusively allocated for Sports Competitions.
It is again the first time that talent hunt under
the project is being done at the door step of
each and every district and resultantly 5000
players (M/F) are being enlisted. Project
completed in al aspects on 3rd May 2016. The
project
comprises
of
Inter
District
Competitions in 15 Games at Divisional Head
Quarters followed by Mega Inter Divisional
Competitions at Peshawar.

A slow moving project of the previous


Government which is completed within 2 years
by providing full funds. It is the second
International level Sports Complex after
Qayum Stadium in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its
ready to host International level Competitions.

SOP for distribution of Sports goods / To stop the practice of mismanagement in
equipments
distribution of Sports equipment and
streamline the process, a detailed SOP has
been formulated and circulated to all District
Sports officers. It will benefit in the following
ways
i.
Goods will be distributed to
genuine players.
ii.
Political intervention / scoring /
nepotism will be minimized.
iii.
Proper maintenance of record of
stock of equipment.
SOP for trials / talent hunt
To stop nepotism during selection of players
and ensure specialization in each game a
thorough SOP has been devised and circulated
to all District Sports Officers. This will help in
merit based selection in talent hunt and the
monopolies of certain players in many games
will diminish.
Management Committees for Play The Provincial Government has embarked an
Grounds
extensive plan to establish playground at each
tehsil of the Province. By this initiative a total
of 75 grounds are likely to be established
wherein work on 33 is in progress, out of
which 25 grounds got completed Soon after
handing taking of the grounds the management

committees will take over these grounds for


the purposeful utilization.

Inter Provincial youth Exchange Program

Exclusivity
A specially designed project for youth wherein
delegations of male and female were sent to
other provinces. Meetings were arranged with
academicians, politicians, presidents chamber
of commerce, business tycoons and other
industries and management institutes.
It
benefited the delegates in broadening their
vision, and letting people of the other
provinces know the capabilities of the youth of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project is
completed within 70 days by covering visits to
Karachi, Azad Kashmir, Lahore, Sailkot, and
Islamabad. The shining part of the project is
that each delegation consisted a number of
Youth Consulars also.
All Pakistan Mega Challenge 2016
This is the very first time in Pakistan that any
Rs. 15 million
Provincial Government has ever initiated /
conducted competitions amongst youth of the
country. Two days competitions in 26
academic / nonacademic categories have been
conducted wherein 1000 youth from more than
60 Universities all over Pakistan participated.
The project identified us a number of National
level talented youth of the Province in
Business plan making, Easy Writing, Painting,
Photography, Calligraphy, Drama, Singing,
Declamation, NaatKhwani / Qirat, Console
Gaming etc.
YOUTH SECTOR (OTHER INITIATIVES)
Establishment of Youth Directorate Keeping in view the significance of youth

government upon recommendations of the
department has approved establishment of an
independent directorate for Youth Affairs. SNE
for 10 districts has been approved during CFY.
Whereas for other districts SNE will be
approved in the next FY. By this initiative each
district will be having independent district
youth officer to perform youth promotional
activities.

The first ever youth policy of the province


after devolution has been approved by the
cabinet and ready for official launch.

CULTURE SECTOR (ADP)

Recognition of Living Human Treasure After sustaining the major brunt of militancy
(SaqafatkayZindaAmeen)
and general ignorance on part of Department
Rs. 120 Million
over the years, the cultural community (actors,
Poets, writers, directors, singers, musical
instrument makers) was officially recognized
for its services which has never been seen in
the history of Pakistan. 500 celebrated artists
were awarded 30,000/- subsistence allowance
for 8 months followed by a permanent
solutions in terms of establishment of an
endowment fund to the tune of Rs. 500
Million.
Revival of Indigenous Cultural Heritage
Amid technological viz-a-viz global media
Rs. 60 Million
invasion and persistence militancy, the dying
traditional games and cultural activities have
been revived at each tehsil level. This is such a
unique project wherein local organization are
being involved to collaborate with the local
community for conducting their popular
traditional games / activity. The project got

Strengthening Directorate of Culture
A project to shoulder the existing directorate of
Rs. 67 Million
Culture in wake of the responsibilities
devolved
under
the
18thconstitutional
amendments has been initiated. Necessary
equipment have been purchased and staff
hired. It will enhance the overall capacity of
the directorate in the following areas

Cultural Mapping

Cultural Media Specialization
The project is under successful execution.
Building for Directorate of Culture
A delayed and sick project of the previous
Rs. 24 Million
Government has successfully been completed
and handed over.
Renovation of Nishtar Hall
The historical Nishtar Hall since its
Rs. 45 Million
establishment in 1988 has been renovated for
the first time in the past 30 years. Its symbolic
importance has been restored in the true shape
and flavor of indigenous art and culture. It has
been handed over in a record period of 5
months instead of 2 years.

Rabab Talent Hunt
A successful talent hunt for playing the
traditional musical instrument that is Rabab
was conducted at Provincial level and the
grand finale was arranged at LokVirsa
Islamabad.
YaQurban (Singing Talent Hunt)
A provincial level talent hunt of tappa singers.
Initially competitions held at 7 division head
quarters and the short listed nominees
competed for the final held in the December
2015 at Gor Khatree Peshawar.

Revival of theater

For revival of theater and stage performances,


Ajoka theater stared its activities in Nishtar
Hall. Later on folk stories of pashtun Culture
will be dramatized both in digital and

performance manner
Pirzwana (Fusion of Old and New Music) The first ever fusion of old and new music was
experienced in a formal way at Nishtar Hall in
presence of the living music legends and new
talent. It was the first ever Pashto live
sequence music.
ARCHAEOLOGY & MUSEUMS SECTOR
Achievements of Archaeology are as follows:
1. Holding of 2 International Conferences on Archaeology in August 2015 and May 2016
2. Promulgation of Antiquities ACT for promotion and protection of Archaeological assets
of the province
3. Conservation of 15 major archaeological sites of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
4. Excavation of world heritage site Bhamala Haripur and recovery of 48 feet long Budha
and 500 other antiquities
5. Virtual tours and documentaries of Archaeological sites.
