FMW 11.1.1.9. This requirement is covered in detail via note 211546.1

For this demonstration, we will make the following assumptions:

WLS Server = vcptrain1.us.oracle.com
MW_HOME = /u02/app/middleware_ascp
WLS_HOME = MW_HOME/wlserver_10.3
DOMAIN_NAME = ascp_ui_domain
WLS_USER = weblogic
WLS_PASSWORD = weblogic1
VCP Server = vcptrain5.us.oracle.com

Create the Domain and Admin Server
Run the config.sh script from the from the WLS_HOME/common/bin

directory.

Select Create a new WebLogic domain radio button, and then Next.

Select Domain Source

Start AdminServer
After running the command to start the AdminServer, you can use the tail command to monitor the log
file until it shows RUNNING.
tail -f weblogic.out

Create the ASCP Managed Server

Log into the WebLogic Server
Access the WebLogic Server where the

AdminServer was installed. In our
situation, the server is
vcptrain1.us.oracle.com and we used
port 7011, so the URL is:
http://vcptrain1.us.oracle.com:7011/console

Summary of Servers
1. Select the Lock & Edit button in the

top left-hand corner of the screen.
2. In the Domain Structure region, for the
ascp_ui_domain, expand the
Environment node and select the
Server link.
3. This opens a Summary of Servers region
to the right. Select the New button.

1. In the Create New Server region, enter

the following fields:
Server Name = ASCPManagedServer

Server Listen Address =
vcptrain1.us.oracle.com
Server Listen Port = 7012

1. Review the values entered for Server

Name, Server Listen Address, and

7011, so the URL is:

Summary of JDBC Data Source Properties
1. Select the Lock & Edit button in the

top left-hand corner of the screen.
ascp_ui_domain, expand the Services
node and select the Data Sources link.
3. This opens a Summary of JDBC Data
Sources region to the right. Select the
New > Generic Data Source button.

Name = ApplicationDB
JNDI Name = jdbc/ApplicationDBDS
Database Type = Oracle
** It is very important that you enter the EXACT
Name and JNDI Name as listed above.
Entering different values can result in the
Planning UI not working **

Define MDS Directory

Return to the UNIX console and go to the ASCP domain home (the path where ASCP domain is
installed).

Create a new directory "mds": (<ASCP_Domain_Home>/servers/<ASCPManagedServer>/mds).

1. Select the Lock & Edit button in

the top left-hand corner of the
screen.
2. In the Domain Structure region,
for the ascp_ui_domain, expand
the Services node and select the
Persistent Stores link.
3. This opens a Summary of

right. Select the New > Create
