Jesus Life

1)
This essay is to help understand the meaning of Jesus life, and how it affects us
still 2,000 years later. Christianity has most likely affected you whether you are
religious or not, even the date is affected by Christianity. You may have the word
church on your school uniform or celebrate the religious holidays - like Christmas
where we celebrate his birth, or Easter where we celebrate his sacrifices and him
rising from the dead.

Jesus Birth
Jesus birth was the beginning of Christianity, so that in itself is important,
without that event the world we live in would be very different. The Massier had
said that the son of god would be born under the star of David in Bethlehem, so
that Jesus, even before he was born, was bringing hope into peoples lives.
Mary was a virgin, so it was already known this was not to be a natural birth, and
the angel Gabriel came to visit her and told her she was going to give birth to the
son of god, and that the must not be afraid. Mary and joseph also had to travel to
Bethlehem, to register for a census, with only a donkey to carry Mary who was
heavily pregnant. When they arrived there was no room left in any hotel, hostel
or house but one place let them stay in the stable with the animals for the
night.
Three wise men were nearby studying the stars when the angel came to see
them, he said that the son of God has been born, and that they must visit him.
The three wise men obeyed the angel and went to great him and each gave him
a gift:
Gold-a possession of kings
Frankincense-a sign of worship
Myrrh-to symbolise death and suffering

The Teachings of Jesus

Jesus teachings taught us the way in which we should live our lives, and the
right and wrong ways of life. They brought our communities together, and
showed us to love thy neighbour. Enemies were showed how to love each
other, and the rich were showed how to welcome the poor.

The Miracles of Jesus

Jesus miracles were there so that we could grow trust in him. They proved to us
that he was telling the truth, and that he really was the son of God. They showed

us that if we listened to him, then we could learn how to live our lives in a better
way.

The Death of Jesus

The death of Jesus proved to us that Jesus was willing to sacrifice his life in order
for us to realise, that even though we nailed him to a cross and publicly
humiliated him, he would stay clean and true forgiving all of them for what they
did to him. Jesus sacrificed himself for the love and the life of all others.

The Resurrection
Any man coming back to life from the dead is completely unnatural, so this event
shocked everyone. When they found Jesus not in his tomb, some grew scared
that the Romans had taken him to burn. So when Mary found the tomb open and
Jesus not inside, she grew scared and upset, thinking of only the worst. But then
she saw him, standing strait and tall, smiling at her, bearing his wounds. He told
her not to fear him, and that she must go tell the others that he has risen.
This act illustrates the hope being brought back into their lives. For if God would
not let this man die, then this man shall stand up, and shall rise not only from the
dead, but in spirit.

The Most Important Event

I think the resurrection shines out from them all, because this is what made
people believe, not only that this was truly was the son of God, but that if this
man has been spared then we must follow him! This act brought back hope and
fight into their lives, that they now have a worthy cause to fight for, and nothing
will let them stray from their path.

2)
In what ways has the life of Jesus made an impact on the world, and
what do you think we might learn from the teachings of Jesus in the
ways we live our life?
Jesus life has changed the dating system, Christian schools, laws and much
more and they each vary in how much or when they were affected. There are
also things like the law which although the 10 commandments were made by
God, I think mankind probably would have come up with them without Jesus.

When I think of Jesus teachings the phrase Dont judge a book by its cover
springs up, because that is the overall message of his teachings. That we
shouldnt dismiss them because they are rich or poor, it is about showing love

and help for those who need. The phrase can be easily translated into Dont
judge a person by their looks, just because they have different skin colour, from
a different country or have a disability does not mean that they are to be
discriminated from this world. All should be equal, men and women, black and
white, short or tall, we all should stand together united in our nation, and be
proud of each other and ourselves and help each other.
