This service manual is written for people who
*

have a thorough understanding of electronic and fluidic principles.

* have a thorough understanding of reagent systems.

*

have a thorough understanding of quality control.

have a thorough understanding of troubleshooting concepts.

have an operator's knowledge of the analyzer.

have the ability to use basic mechanical tools and understand related
terminology.

1. electrode
1.1 install electrode
Open front Cover: Open front Cover of instrument. You can see the
K.Na.Cl.etc. electrodes.
Take out the electrodes: Release the electrodes nut(at the right side of
the electrodes) Uplift the bottom of the electrodes slightly, and then you can
take out the electrodes
Installation of electrodes:
Before Installing the electrodes,use fingers to flip the electrodes bottom gently
to eliminate air bubble inside the electrodes(The top of the electrodes is the
side with copper cobbra).First, put the top of the electrodes under the point of
contact, and push in the bottom of electrodes, then the electrodes are fixed.

After the electrodes are fixed, you should screw on the nut at the right side
of the electrodes.
Do the same operation if your instrument type is GE200 F.

1.2 Input the electrodes filler

The electrodes must be input the filler liquid before using it .It has to use the
special injector to input the filler liquid (the length must be less than l0mm), in
case that poke the ion selective theca, the filler liquid must be filled 2/3 ~3/4 of

between the filler liquid and electrodes biomembrane, the existence of air
bubble is prohibited, then wipe the top of the electrodes, and fix them back to
place.

1.3 activate the electrode

Slope value will fall and the stability will be worse after using electrode for
a period of time, now carry out this function, use DEPROTEINIZED
SOLUTION to make electrode active to increase slope value and stability.
Generally we suggest you activate electrodes every week.
Press ACTIVITY key on keyboard or press 4 in MAINTAIN submenu
to active electrode when you need to activate electrode.
Carry out this function, the probe uplifts automatically, the screen will
display:

2. printer
install the paper
Open the printer cover interface, press FEED, press it again to stop it
after output the residual paper, get the surplus paper out;
Put the new paper in paper groove, the thermal printer paper are different
in two sides, so pull the end of paper out when the thermal side downwards;
Take the roll axis out upwards, put the thermal side under the roll axis as
the chart, the paper s direction should be vertically with the one of the roll
axis, it avoids the printer paper locked so that it cant print normally;

Press FEED, adjust it if the paper cant get out or its direction is not
vertically with the one of roll axis, or it cant work; press FEED to stop it after
print a segment(When paper get out of the paper cover) ;

3. Install pump tube

Screw off the pump plate, slide the pump plate for a distance from the pump
head;

Take the pump tube out of the gap, Pull out the white ties connecting with
pump tubes two sides;
Get a new pump tube; connect the 2 soft tubes ties with the correspondent
pump tube;
Install new pump tube, put one side in the left flute, push another side in
the right flute according to the middle section;
Close the pump plate with proper strength, make sure the pump can
aspirate reagent; then screw on the plate tight. When the pump works, assure
it can absorb the right quantity of reagent, if not, regulate the place of the
baffle plate again.

4. Clean the rinse cup

If there is blockage or dirty thing in the rinse cup, you have to clean it. Switch
the power off, screw off the back cover, pull out of it, find the rinse cup, screw
off it, pull out the ties connected with the rinse cup, get the rinse cup out and
clean it with distilled water. Then install it back to place again.

Charpter5 Maintenance
Daily maintenance:
1. clean the probe with tampon
2. clean the tubing with cleaner:
maintain---clean tube, then
aspirate the cleaner two second , wait then second; repeat this
step five times.
3. clean the surface of instrument

Weekly maintenance:
1. Activate the electrode with DEPROTEINIZED SOLUTION.
2. clean the wast bottle
3. check the reagent bottle
