The board and slaff of the Boys & Girts club of Siera County are deeply concerned and alarmed by an
al{eged incident concerning inappropriate conduci by a staff member involving a youtl.r rnember
at a
Clubhouse on July 14. Upon being alerted, the Club took immediate action. Club leadership immediately

isolated and removed the staff member in question from the premises. Authorities were immediately
alerted, who subsequently took the alleged offender into custody. Club leadership follorxed all
procedures, including immediaiely notifyine the Club membe/s fumily. The individual
in question was
immediately placed on leave and has been dismissed fror4 employment, and prohihited.frorn
access to
the crganization and all of its jperatior.is.
Boys & Girls clubs of Siera county has and will continue to cooperale fully with law enforcement
authorities investigating this case. The organization is working closely wiil'r the family of the youth
irivoived.to ensure the yor.lth's protection and well-being, and to provide access to treatment
or
counseling needed. We are withboiding fur-ther discussion of the matter, to proterr th
identity of the
young person and so that the process can be properly handled, all fucts uncovered,
