Proper ventilation is a key component of climate control in buildings, offices and shops. In its
basic function, it ensures a flow of incoming fresh air and outgoing stale air. Our HRV (heat
recovery ventilation) solution can do much more. It can recover heat and optimise the balance
between indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, thus reducing the load on the system
and increasing efficiency.

Our FXMQ-MF air processing solution uses heat pump technology to combine fresh air
treatment and air conditioning in a single system, thereby eliminating the usual design
problems associated with balancing air supply and discharge. Total system cost is reduced
and design flexibility enhanced because the airconditioning fan coil units and an outdoor air
treatment unit can be connected to the same refrigerant line.

Enough fresh air is needed to create a comfortable environment, but ventilating constantly is leading to energy waste. Therefore an optional
CO2 sensor can be installed which switches off the ventilation system when there is enough fresh air in the room, thus saving energy.

Using CO2 sensors has the most energy-saving potential in buildings where occupancy fluctuates during a 24-hour period, is unpredictable
and peaks at a high level. For example office buildings, government facilities, retail stores and shopping malls, movie theatres, auditoriums,
schools, entertainment clubs and nightclubs. The ventilation units reaction to fluctuations in CO2 can be easily adjusted by the customer.

The D-AHU Professional and Energy series provide a complete
solution including unit control (EKEXV, EKEQ, DDC controller)
factory mounted and configured, plug & play with our ERQ
and VRV condensing units. Hydraulic coils come with 3 way
valves and actuators.
The easiest solution to save you time and have only one
point of contact!

Predefined sizes
27 fixed sizes are available, optimised to reach the best
compromise between competitiveness and manufacturing
standardisation. However, Daikins section by section design
means that units can be sized by 1cm increments to be
assembled on site, without welding, to suit the space
constraints of the installation.

The Daikin Altherma Flex system
consists of an outdoor unit R410A.
This extracts heat from the outside air
and raises the hot water temperature
through a cascade HB system
utilising R134a. This heats water with
remarkable efficiency to a maximum
temperature of 75C. Up to 10 indoor

Daikin air handling units are wired at the factory and are also
pre-commissioned, with each units software tuned and the set
points already established. On site, all that is required is to plug
the system into the power supply, connect any pipes and wires,
and switch the unit on.

The series Plug & Play design is more than just a convenient
feature for installers. It also offers cost-saving benefits as
there is no need for expensive adjustments before the unit is
commissioned. Plug & Play makes everyones life simpler, safer
and more economical.

Like all Daikin air handling units, the Modular series are
compatible with all common heating and cooling equipment.

Seasonal Efficiency
The chiller quick selection guides indicate maximum CoP and EER ratings, but also maximum
ESEER ratings, for all chillers where this data is available.
The European Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ESEER) is the parameter fully recognized in
Europe for evaluating the products annual performance.
It is calculated through a weighted formula that takes into account the variation of EER with
the load rate and the variation of air inlet condenser temperature.
