SYSTEM OVERVIEW

The functions of the inverter pump are all managed by a PLC placed inside the main electric box.
The user interface has been realized using a graphical display placed in the front part of the operator panel.
Using this interface it is possible to view the functioning state of the machine, set/recall receipts and
calibrate the loading cells.
The filling machine can be eventually connected to an inverter driven filter pump using the provided cable
EASY-NET:
in such environment, the filler software is able to manage the different product flow-out speeds using the
parameters inserted in the recipe obtaining a significantly filling time reduction and highest dosing accuracy.
Under the display, a set of push buttons are placed allowing the operator to interact with the software

Currently Selected Receipt

Number

Total weight of the Current Receipt

Filling Cycle Time

Total weight on the weighing plate

The main page constantly displays the loaded weight on the cells, the currently selected receipt number, the
total weight of the receipt and the cycle time (sec/10) of a complete filling phase.
Malfunctioning alerts are displayed with blinking messages:
NO RESET: To enable the machine functions, it is necessary not to have active alert conditions (e.g.
Emergency Buttons pressed, Air Pressure Too Low, No Supply, etc.)
In case of one or more of these conditions, this message Blinks on then display. To remove it, remove the
alarm cause then press the RESET button again.

MAC.FULL: When the end line of the filler is full of vessels, after 6 second the machine commutes to the
Maximum Accumulation State notifying the operator with this blinking message: to continue it is enough to
remove the last basket from the outlet of the line.

SETTING THE ZERO (TARE)

Every time it is needed, it is possible to set the zero of the weighing machine pressing the OK button from
the Main page.

CALIBRATING THE WEIGHING CELL

When the machine is delivered to the customer, the weighing machine has already been calibrated.
However, if it is needed, it is possible to adjust the calibration following the procedure described hereafter:
From the main page, press the ALT button: the following page appears:

The system ask the operator to completely free the weighing plate unloading every external body. To
proceed press the OK button: the following page appears:

At this point, it is necessary to put a known sample on the weighing plate: to have a significant improvement
on the accuracy, it is necessary to use a sample very near to the highest one you want to fill with the
machine. Pressing the * key it is possible to change this value and confirm with the OK button.

At this point the system sows the main page: if the displayed weight is not zero, it is possible to set it
pressing the OK button as seen above.

MANAGING THE RECEIPTS:

The software can manage up to 8 different receipts:
A receipt is a set of predetermined parameters that describe the functioning of the system and how to
manage a filling cycle.
Preset : Quantity of product dosed at higher speed.
Set : Total weight to be dosed. In this phase the speed is low to obtain a fine dosing.
Preset Hz: Inverter speed to drive the motor pump during the PRESET Phase.
Set Hz: Inverter speed to drive the motor pump during the SET Phase
Tail: Quantity of product that flows out when then Set Weight is reached.
RECEIPT EXECUTION
To execute a continuos cycle with a receipt, first of all select it using the LEFT/RIGHT arrow keys and press
the OK button. The number of the receipt is showed in the top left corner followed by the total net quantity of
the receipt itself.
Execute the zero of the weighing plate placing an empty basket on the cell and pressing the OK button.
This is necessary the first time whenever a new receipt is selected.
At this point, press the START CYCLE push button from the control panel: the machine starts loading an
empty basket. It is possible to stop the automatic cycle pressing the STOP CYCLE button: in this case the
filling machine completes the filling of the basket stopping at the end of it. This is very useful to test the filling
of a single basket.
To proceed with another basket, repress START CYCLE: the machine will continue loading empty baskets
until a STOP CYCLE or an ALARM will occur.
In case a fast stop of the machine is needed, press the EMERGENCY STOP button: the machine will have
to be reset before restarting.
RECEIPT EDITING

To change from a receipt to the other use the Arrows Key (LEFT/RIGHT).
To select a receipt, display the number and press OK.
To edit an existing receipt, select it and use the buttons above to edit every parameter:

MODIFY PRESET QUANTITY

MODIFY HZ PRESET

MODIFY SET QUANTITY

MODIFY HZ SE
MODIFY THE TAIL QUANTITY

During a receipt set up, all the environment conditions are very important (e.g. how much manual valves are
open/closed, the density of the product, etc) Pay attention to these external parameters to have the same
conditions.
The optimization of the receipt parameters has to be done changing just a value a time to understand how it
interacts with the dosing time/accuracy. Hereafter it is presented a sample of a general procedure to set up
a new receipt.

Select an empty receipt (or set every parameter to zero of an existing one)
Set the Set Quantity to 15.000 g.
Set to 20/30 Hz the Inverter Speed for the set phase
Press OK to select and to execute this receipt
Put an empty basket on the weighing plate and press the OK button to calculate the tare
Remove the empty basket and put it at the beginning of the filling line
Execute some cycles operating on the Set Manual Gear on the dosing head to adjust the product flow
out and trying to obtain a constant error (i.e. +500 g.)
At the end of these tests, verify the exceeding weight respect to the set one: this is the tail quantity.
Return to edit the receipts values using the LEFT/RIGHT arrows key
Insert this tail value using the DOWN arrow button
Repeat a dosing cycle to verify the tail error now is zero.
At this point it is possible to speed up the process inserting in the receipt a preset quantity and a preset
Hz speed: try, for instance, to set 10000 as Preset and 60/80 Hz as preset Inverter Speed.
Repeat different dosing cycles trying to optimize these values to obtain best performance in terms of
speed maintaining high accuracy.

14)

PAY ATTENTION:
IF THE FINAL WEIGTH IN THE SAME RECEIPT IS ALWAYS THE SAME QUANTITY MORE OR THE
SAME QUANTITY LESS THE SET QUANTITY, A TAIL ERROR IS PRESENT: MODIFY THE TAIL VALUE
(E.G. IF ALWAYS 80 g. MORE, ADD 80 g. TO THE TAIL VALUE)
IF THE FINAL WEIGTH IN THE SAME RECEIPT IS NEVER THE SAME, PROBABLY THE SPEED OF
THE INVERTER IN THE SET PHASE IS TOO HIGH OR THE VALUE OF PRESET QUANTITY IS TOO
HIGH.

IF THE WEIGHT MEASURED WITH THE WEIGHING PLATE MOUNTED ON THE FILLING MACHINE IS
DIFFERENT IF MEASURED WITH OTHER WIGHING SYSTEMS, RECALIBRATE USING THE
PROCEDURE MENTIONED ABOVE.
