1. Q:

Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the

truth?
A: I do.
2. Q:

Are you aware the you can face criminal liability

for false
testimony or perjury if you will not tell the truth?
A:
3. Q:

I am.
Please state your

name and other

personal

circumstances.
A:
I am Angelina Jolie, 41, married, and a resident of
Brgy. (LA) Lahug-Apas, Cebu City.
4. Q:

Witness can you describe your family to this court.

A:

I am an only child. My parents are both in the film

industry. They were, I mean, we were a happy
family back then until my father was involved with
alcohol, drugs and women. Since then life at home
was a mess. My parents. They will fight, shout at
each other up to the point of getting physical.
When I was thirteen my mother left my father.

5. Q:

After your parents got separated, where were you

staying?

A:

My mother brought me with her. I was with her

most of the time.

6. Q:
A:

How did their separation affect you?

It was tough. I was shattered. I couldnt live with
the idea that theres no more chance Im having a
whole family again and I blame them for that.
Because of that anger, I became a troubled
teenager until I was drowned with alcohol, drugs,
party and different men. It was only in my mid
twenties that I realized I am becoming like my
father and told myself to stop.

7. Q:
A:

What made you stop from those vices?

Coming from a broken family and all its troubles, I
always dream to have a family of my own. A loving
peaceful one and most especially complete. It

made me think. How can I have that dream family

when I am acting just like my father. The very
reason why I grew up broken.
8. Q:

You said, you were married. Can you describe the

family
of your own to this court?
A:

I am married for ten years now and have six

children. I could say were doing good as a family. I
mean we are happy, and despite the challenges
weve been through we are still complete. I just
hope and will always do my best to keep that
way.for a lifetime.

9. Q:

Do you think what you are now as a wife and

parent has
something to do with how your parents were back
in the day?
A:

Yes, although the past keeps haunting me, I can

say it had a great contribution of how I am as a
wife snd mother. As Ive said, I will do my best to
keep my family together and create a loving and
peaceful environment for my children. Although,
there are times I become paranoid, have these
what ifs in my mind and do not completely trust
my husband, I just keep them to myself. I cannot

let

my

children

experience

what

have

experienced in the past.
