CONSTRUCTION OF THE FACILITY

WHERE ARE WE?

Work is currently being completed on all levels of the

building (event, concourse, suite and press levels).
The work includes structural steel, concrete, masonry,
plumbing, ventilation, electrical, roofing, carpentry and
exterior site services.

- The structural steel roof framing and metal decking is

progressing on the bowl roof and is scheduled to be
completed in early October.
- Roofing has started on the main entrance and on the
concourse level.
- Precast wall panels of various sizes have been installed
on the west side facing Sobeys.
- Electrical, plumbing and ventilation work has begun.
- Interior steel studs are just starting to be installed on
the concourse level.

INTERESTING FACTS
1) The bowl roof could fit three regulation size ice
surfaces on it, with plenty of room left over for seating.
2) The red crane will work its way out of the south end
(VIA train station) of the building while completing the
roof trusses and bleachers. The south end is stage end
for concerts and has retractable seating to minimize the
number of seats which cannot be used during a concert
because of the obstructed view.
