SAP provides mobile applications for tools that are part of SAP Solution Manager. This means that some processes in SAP Solution Manager are also
available on mobile devices. Your employees do not have to be in the office during business hours to access the data, but, instead, can work from anywhere
in the world at any time.

1.2 Installing the Mobile App on the Device


SAP provides mobile applications in SAP Solution Manager for iOS devices and Android devices. For information how to install the application on the relevant
device type, see the following sections:
Installing the Mobile App on the Android Device
Installing the Mobile App on the iOS Device

1.2.1 Installing the Mobile App on the Android Device


Procedure
Direct installation can have one of the following variants (where all variants assume that the Android application is available in a central store):

Installation with Google Play


Proceed as follows:
1. Start the Google Play application on your device.
2. Search for the name of the mobile app that you want to install.
3. Install the app. Follow the instructions shown on the display.

Download-type installation without Google Play and using a URL

Note
Note the following prerequisites:
The installation of programs that do not originate from Google Play has been permitted (activate Settings / Applications / Unknown Sources ).
The Android package is available as a resource at a URL.
The URL is distributed to the mobile user.
Proceed as follows:
1. Enter the URL in the web browser of the Android device, and start the download.
The Android status bar displays the progress of the download.
2. When the download is complete, tap the download entry in the status bar.
Android prompts you to install the app.
3. Follow the instructions shown on the display.

Download-type installation without Google Play and using a personal computer

Note
Note the following prerequisites:
Driver software by the device manufacturer is required for the PC.
You download the Android application and install the driver software on a PC.
You attach the device to the PC using a USB cable.
The device is connected to the PC by means of the driver software.
The Android application is uploaded and installed on the device by means of the driver software.
The installation of programs that do not originate from Google Play has been permitted (see the previous section) and a file manager is installed.
Proceed as follows:

Connect the device to the computer using a USB cable.


On the device display, when asked whether to mount the memory card, choose YES. (The memory card is connected as a disk drive.)
Copy the .apk file to the memory card.
Safely remove the USB storage and disconnect the USB cable.
Using a file manager on the mobile device, open the file that you copied to the memory card and follow the instructions.

1.2.2 Installing the Mobile App on the iOS Device


Procedure
1. Start the App Store application on your device.
2. Search for the name of the mobile app that you want to install.
3. Download and install the app on the Home Screen. For more information, see Apple documentation at
then the App Store section of the appropriate manual for your device.

1.3 SAP Business Process Analytics for iPad (1.0.0)


With the SAP Solution Manager Business Process Analytics app for iPad, you can display and analyze your problem-oriented business key performance
indicators (KPIs) anywhere and anytime.
This app connects to SAP Business Process Analytics on SAP Solution Manager and enables people responsible for business processes to internally
benchmark critical KPIs, analyze the data, and trigger actions right from their device.

Solution Manager application management solution and allows end users to approve and reject requests for change right from their Android device.
