DBI on February 19-20, 2016.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have the pleasure to inform you that DCCI Knowledge Center, an extended wing of DCCI Business
Institute (DBI), is going to organize a day long Workshop on: Leadership Skills: Be a Dynamic Leader
on February 19-20, 2016. Leadership is the ability to influence a group toward the achievement of goals and
management is use of authority inherent in designated formal rank to obtain compliance from organizational
members. In order to train prospective leaders how to use appropriate tools and techniques of leadership,
the following workshop has been offered by DBI:
Workshop on: Leadership Skills: Be a Dynamic Leader;
Date & Duration: February 19-20, 2016; Friday & Saturday (from 10:00 a.m.- 05:30 p.m.)
Venue: DBI, Dhaka Chamber Building (11th Floor), 65-66 Motijheel C/A, Dhaka-1000
Objectives: The objectives are to provide functional knowledge about approach, methods and instruments
of a leadership for developing and harnessing collective efforts of manpower to make a business competitive
and sustainable.
Course Contents: Team Building: 5 Ws of Team Building, Steps of Team Building Development,
Characteristics of Effective Team, Team Building through Communication; Leadership: Concepts of
Leadership, Leadership styles; Role of the Leader: Differences between leader and manager; Change
Management: Definition of Change Management, Managing Change, Best Practice in Leading Change;
Negotiations & Conflict Management: Characteristics of Negotiations, Conflict Management, Level of
Conflicts, Style of Conflict Management, Key Steps in Negotiating Process; Critical Thinking: What is
Critical Thinking, Common Decision Making Problems. Learning Checks & Group Presentation.
Who Can Attend: Entrepreneurs, Would be Entrepreneurs, New Entrants in Business, Importers/Suppliers,
Exporters, Senior and Mid-Level Executives of business organizations, NGOs and any other person
interested for developing leadership & management skills.
Facilitator of the Workshop: Renowned, Highly qualified, reputed and experienced Resource Person, having
ample theoretical and practical knowledge from home and abroad about related areas, has been invited to
conduct the workshop.
Selection Procedures: The intending candidates may collect Registration Form from DBI / DCCI
Knowledge Center or download copy from website: www.dcci-dbi.edu.com Registration would be confirmed
to candidates on payment of registration fees.
Registration Fees: Tk. 4,500/- payable by Pay Order/ DD or in Cash in favour of Dhaka Chamber of
Commerce & Industry or pay with cost of payment through bKash, Wallet number 01766018659
