Question 2 For the inclined surface in the shown figure, find the magnitude, position and direction of the hydrostatic pressure force acting on length 10.0 m of the surface. Question 3 The following figure shows a pipe whose diameter is gradually increased from 1.0 m to 1.20. Find the force exerted be water on the conical part. The pressure at section (1) is 3.0 kg/em’, and the flowing discharge is 2.0 m’/sec Question No: 4 Water is pumped between two Tanks A and B. The level of tank A is 5 m and that of tank B is 40 m. A pipe of length 120 m, diameter of 10 cm and f-0.02, is used to carry out a discharge of 30 liters/sec from tank A to tank B. Consider all minor and friction losses. For valves k=5, and for bends k=3. Compute the horsepower required by the pump if the efficiency of the pump is 1=0.75). Draw (H.G.L.) and (T-E.L.) Question Ne Calculate the discharge values in the system of pipes in the shown figure. Stop calculations after one rotation only. All given discharges are in m’/see.
